Fujian Policy Supports Shoe And Garment Enterprises To Develop Rapidly

The textile and garment industry has always been a traditional dominant industry in Fujian Province, and is one of the six major export bases for textiles and clothing nationwide.

It is reported that the Fujian provincial foreign trade and Economic Cooperation Office recently issued policies to subsidize enterprises that have obtained Intertek eco product certification.

To this end, Fujian foreign trade and Economic Cooperation Office recently held four seminars in Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Zhangzhou and Sanming in Fujian, invited experts from Intertek to introduce the latest development of green barriers for international textile and clothing trade for relevant enterprises, and introduced in detail the specific requirements of Intertek eco product certification, such as technical requirements, application procedures and so on.

At the same time, the leaders of the Ministry of foreign trade and economic cooperation will carry out a detailed interpretation of the relevant supporting policies and be widely welcomed by enterprises in the province.

Fujian provincial foreign trade and economic cooperation department stressed that encouraging and supporting the enterprises in the province to actively apply for the certification of ecological products of the international third party authority is one of the key tasks of the office this year. The scope of products that apply for ecological safety certification is not only textiles and clothing, but also shoes, toys, and leather products.

The Fujian provincial foreign trade and Economic Cooperation Department hopes to continue the work on the basis of the pilot and sum up experience. The scope of support will be adjusted and expanded according to actual needs, so as to provide sustained impetus for the healthy development of Fujian's economy.

During the symposium, reporters from the Fujian TV station's economic platform also interviewed experts from Intertek and discussed the broad topics such as the sustainable development of Fujian's textile and garment industry.

It is reported that in order to cooperate with the important work of Fujian provincial foreign trade and Economic Cooperation Department, Intertek will also hold a series of training courses in Fujian recently to help enterprises actively apply for product ecological safety certification.
