Imports Of Leather Leather Shoes Decreased By 2.2% In The First Quarter Of Russia

The import and export data of Russia's most important commodities in 2010 1-3, released by the Federal Customs office, showed that the proportion of Russian textile and footwear imports decreased.

The proportion of imports of textiles and shoes accounted for 7.1%, down 0.4% from the same period in 2009, while the total value of imports of textiles and shoes increased by 12%. At the same time, the volume of purchases of individual goods changed in different directions.

For example, the import of cotton fabric increased by 18.7%, while leather leather shoes (shoes) imports decreased by 2.2%.

Officials admit that this factor has not yet had an impact on the growth rate of domestic leather shoes.

In March 2010, the output of leather, leather goods and shoes increased by 28.6% compared with March 2009, while that of February 2010 increased by 13%.

The report of the Russian Ministry of economic development explains that the growth of leather, leather goods and footwear output is based on the growth of tanning and leather processing, and the increase in the output of textile materials.
