The 773 garment industry was closed, and the number of employees decreased by 1252. The main reasons include low import prices in Asia.

The industry seems to have reached the bottom of the valley. According to the latest report released by the Western clothing and clothing information center, the textile and garment industry in the first quarter of this year (2010) grew by 2.5%, mainly for export growth.
However, the domestic demand market is still negative. Since the export of Catalan autonomous region 75% is concentrated in Europe, the report points out that the maintenance of practitioners in the textile and garment industry will depend entirely on the European market.

Spain's Inditex clothing group's chain store Zara and Masimo dutti have launched their business and established Zara Deutschland company in Germany. Recently, Inditex group has bought all the shares from Otto Group group in Germany, making Otto Deutschland a subsidiary of the 100% shareholding company.
Since 1999, Inditex has set up 72 stores in more than 40 cities in Germany, including Zara and Masimo dutti, while Masimo dutti's shares, Inditex, were purchased from Otto Group in 2006. So far, Zara has 22% shares of Otto Otto.
