Is "Independent Innovation" A Plagiarism?

In the outline of the national medium and long term plan for science and technology development (2006-2020 years), the guiding principles and general objectives of China's science and technology development in the next 15 years have been clearly defined. It is proposed that by 2020, we should enter the ranks of innovative countries so as to lay the foundation for becoming the world's technological powers in the middle of this century.

As a key link to realize "innovation", intellectual property rights have become one of the hot topics of the "two sessions" committee this year. Representatives of the two sessions put forward their own proposals and ideas on accelerating the construction and continuous improvement of the intellectual property system and accelerating the ability of intellectual property creation, management, utilization and protection.

The intellectual property rights of convention and exhibition industry is a hot topic in recent years. Due to the late start of China's intellectual property work, the weak foundation, it can not meet the needs of the development of international economic integration, and due to interest driven, lax supervision and other reasons, intellectual property infringement, counterfeiting and embezzlement occur frequently, especially in various exhibitions in China, and the problem of intellectual property rights is prominent.

Such infringement, counterfeiting and embezzlement of intellectual property not only cause damage to the owners of intellectual property rights and consumers, but also disrupt the normal order of the exhibition industry.

Therefore, it is the concern of the central competent authorities and relevant urban authorities to standardize the intellectual property rights of mice, maintain the order of exhibition market and promote the healthy development of MICE industry.

Under the efforts of governments at all levels, the intellectual property rights and regulations of exhibition industry have been promulgated, and actions against intellectual property rights have been launched in various exhibitions.

But violations of intellectual property rights do not seem to have been fundamentally changed.

In today's exhibition industry, the exhibition is plagiarized, the exhibits are photographed and so on, and the exhibition site protection is "hard to walk and difficult to go up to the sky", which makes the exhibition organizers and exhibitors headache.

Chu Xiangyin, vice president of the Beijing branch of China Council for the promotion of trade, said that the protection of exhibition intellectual property rights is not enough by relying solely on the supervision, proof and rights protection of enterprises or exhibition organizers.

Even if the law enforcement department of intellectual property rights has infringed on the spot, how can we guarantee law enforcement? Therefore, the issue of intellectual property protection is only a concentrated exposure to the problem of intellectual property protection in the current social environment. In order to solve the problem of infringement, the whole society needs to pay close attention to intellectual property rights and take effective measures to combat the problem.

"Effective combat action" is not just a matter of speaking. The government's concern is on the one hand. It is the most important thing to raise the awareness and self-discipline of intellectual property rights.

For the protection of intellectual property rights, enterprises should learn to be good at using the intellectual property system to protect themselves. In addition, we should not knowingly break the law. We must strengthen the awareness of intellectual property rights rather than wait for the infringement incidents to happen again.

To manage exhibitions and protect intellectual property rights, the key is to "join hands".

Exhibitors should not only seek immediate benefits; exhibitors should learn ways and know how to restrain themselves; and the division of management departments should be clear about their duties, simplify their procedures and be good at dealing with emergencies.

That is to say, only when we are always vigilant against the problem of infringement can we avoid the occurrence of tort.

Intellectual property protection is not only a meeting, but also needs action to support it.
