More than 450 leaders from the United States, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Britain and other more than 30 countries and regions, chemical fiber industry experts, scholars and entrepreneurs gathered in Wujiang to jointly plan for the development of the world's chemical fiber industry.

The China Textile Industry Association, the development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of industry and information technology, the relevant departments of provinces and cities, and relevant industry leaders attended the meeting.

In 2008, China's textile and chemical fiber industry took the lead in the international financial crisis. However, since 2009, China's textile and chemical fiber industry has taken the lead in recovery and achieved better economic results. The first half of this year showed a good trend of rising cycle.

Chemical fiber textile

Wujiang is a competitive industry with certain international competitiveness. After many years of development, Wujiang's chemical fiber textile has formed four advantages, namely, market function advantages, industrial agglomeration advantages, enterprise scale advantages, and technological foundation advantages.

In 2009, the total output value of Wujiang chemical fiber textile was 89 billion yuan, producing more than 11 billion meters of textiles, printing and dyeing cloth more than 3 billion 100 million meters, and 370 million garments. It has formed a relatively complete industrial chain from raw materials, spinning, weaving, printing and dyeing to clothing.

The city owns 150 thousand sets of shuttleless looms.

Water jet loom

130 thousand units, 20 thousand air-jet looms, have become the highest level of weaving in China.

"In the next 5-10 years, China's textile industry is still the traditional pillar industry and important livelihood industry of our national economy, and it is also an industry with obvious international competitive advantages.

It will play an important role in boosting domestic market, expanding exports, absorbing labor force employment, increasing farmers' income and promoting urbanization.

Xu Kunyuan, vice president of China Textile Industry Association and honorary president of China Chemical Fiber Association, said that in the coming years, the new technological revolution centered on new energy, new materials, information and biotechnology will lead the human society into a new era of green, intelligent and sustainable development.

China's chemical fiber industry should further change its business philosophy and operation mode, enhance its capability of independent innovation, vigorously develop new and high technology fiber, functional differential fiber and green environmental protection fiber, vigorously develop and popularize new technologies, new technologies and equipment for energy saving and emission reduction, further eliminate backward production capacity, and vigorously strengthen cooperation and development with downstream application fields, thus forming the competitive advantage of the industrial chain and improving market competitiveness.

China International Chemical fiber conference has become a worldwide event with extensive influence in the world's chemical fiber industry.

The conference will last for two days. The leaders of the world's major chemical fiber industries and the leading economists in China will focus on the development trend of the chemical fiber industry and the hot spots and difficulties of the development of the chemical fiber industry, and further explore the path of industrial restructuring and promoting sustainable development.
