There are 3112 footwear manufacturers in Jinjiang. The number of employees is over 380 thousand, with 950 million pairs of shoes and 1 billion feet of leather. In 2008, the total output value of footwear industry was 39 billion 500 million yuan (including leather 3 billion 920 million yuan, the same below), accounting for 25.8% of the total industrial output value of the same period.
The main products include professional sports shoes, travel shoes, casual shoes, fashion shoes, sandals, snow shoes and so on hundreds of varieties and specifications. Among them, sports and tourist shoes account for 40% of the total output of the country and 20% of the world's total output, and the products are exported to 163 countries and regions.
Figuratively speaking, on average, every 12 people in the world own a pair of Jinjiang shoes.
Relying on the dual wings of "brand and capital", the scale of single shoe enterprises has expanded rapidly. Up to now, the city's output value exceeds 100 million yuan and more than ten million yuan of shoe making enterprises have reached 81 and 245 respectively, with 4 listed companies (Anta sports, China Sports International, alligator fashion sports, Taishan science and Technology) and 22 listed backup enterprises. In 2008, the footwear industry achieved 35 billion 540 million yuan in industrial output above Designated Size, accounting for 25.8%, accounting for 89.97% of the total output value of the footwear industry in the same period.

The whole city has formed a good pattern of production of shoes, shoes, shoes, leather, shoes, chemical industry and so on, and has formed a well coordinated production and cooperation group with social division of labor and self-supporting. Among them, more than 1500 specialized manufacturers, including shoe soles, vamp, leather and hardware products, have been engaged in supporting production of finished shoes. Shoes machinery products have occupied 80% market share of the footwear industry in the city. There are also a large number of supporting industries such as mold development, shoe design, management consultation, image planning, marketing promotion, export agents, etc., which provide specialized services for productive enterprises, such as prenatal, mid, and post natal services. In addition to the advantages of "quantity", the footwear industry in Jinjiang also has a complete industrial ecological chain.
The development of shoemaking industry has also led to the supporting prosperity of the regional shoe material market. Chen Tai, the shoe industry, has now formed two major regional supporting markets, the Chai Tai shoe material market and the Chinese shoe market. Among them, Chen Dai shoe material market has attracted more than 600 merchants from shoe manufacturers and shoe makers from 4 provinces and more than 30 foreign countries (regions) in China, with an annual turnover of 8 billion yuan.
"China Shoes Capital" market has 2162 independent shops. At present, it has absorbed a group of more than 10 local shoe material enterprises and 5 domestic shoe material suppliers. In September 2008, it also set up a direct selling center of Chinese brand shoes and clothing in Jinjiang.

In recent years, the footwear industry in Jinjiang has taken the initiative to adapt to the needs of market development. The city's footwear enterprises employ more than 70 movie and sports stars, and the annual advertising cost has invested nearly 1 billion yuan.
Some enterprises have also achieved good social and economic benefits by participating in the top sports competitions. For example, Anta has become the sponsor of sports equipment for the national volleyball league matches and the Chinese men's basketball professional league (CBA). The company has become the operator of CBA logo product of China Basketball Association.
The continuous promotion of brand marketing strategy has laid a solid foundation for the development of Jinjiang footwear brand clusters. Up to now, the footwear industry in the city has accumulated 19 Chinese well-known trademarks, 8 Chinese famous brand products and 36 national inspection free products, and the number of "national brand" brands has accounted for more than half of the national sports shoes industry.
Anta sports products ranked first in the market share of similar products in China for 7 consecutive years, and was successfully selected as the symbol brand of China's sports footwear industry in 2008.
Four, high level of technical quality.
Jinjiang footwear industry has equipped with a large number of international and even advanced international level of technology and equipment, including more than 600 shoemaking enterprises imported from Italy, Germany, Japan, Taiwan and other countries and regions to produce more than 3000 sets of automatic shoe making lines. More than 250 shoe materials enterprises have more than 500 sets of EVA shoe sole molding machines, and three dimensional scanners, CNC cutting board machines and other equipment are also commonly seen in the footwear enterprises of the city.
At the same time, the enterprise attaches great importance to the independent research and development investment, and the shoe industry enterprises above the scale of the city are supporting their own product R & D institutions, of which 4 footwear enterprises R & D centers have been identified as provincial technology centers and 5 footwear enterprises R & D centers have been identified as the Quanzhou Municipal Technology Center, and the whole municipal shoe industry relies on independent research and development. At present, there are more than 2000 core technology and 189 patents in shoe industry.
Actively implementing standards certification is an important work that our footwear enterprises have been implementing in recent years to improve product quality and improve production efficiency. At present, the stability rate of footwear products in the city has reached 98.2%, and 88 enterprises have passed ISO9000 certification and 108 enterprises have passed ISO14001 certification. Anta has become the Deputy Secretary general of the National Standardization Committee for sports goods, the vice chairman of the National Standardization Committee of footwear technology, and the member of the national garment Standardization Technical Committee.
