On the 20 day, from the Symposium on industrial economy operation of some provinces and cities held in Chongqing, we learned that light industry in Chongqing has become a new force in the industrial growth of the whole city.

Data from the Municipal Commission on economic and Trade Commission showed that in the 1-8 month of this year, the added value of Chongqing's above scale industries increased by 164 billion 400 million yuan, an increase of 25%, higher than the national average of 8.4 percentage points, ranking second in the western region.

It is predicted that 1-9 months, the above scale industry can achieve sales output value of 640 billion yuan, an increase of 29.5%.

It is worth mentioning that 22 of the 23 industrial sectors involved in exports have achieved growth.
