Designer Jiang Qionger Is In Charge Of "Hermes In China"

Jiang Qionger's love for Chinese traditional art stems from the influence of Chinese culture on her childhood.

Her grandfather, Jiang, was a painter. He studied in Japan for six years and studied various schools and painting techniques.

The more than 30 year old mother from Shanghai has repeatedly said she started learning painting at the age of two.

After graduating from Tongji University in Shanghai, she studied in the National Academy of decorative arts in Paris, France from 2001 to 2004.

In an interview with Agence France-Presse, she said with fluent French, "I learned the freedom of the mind there".

This double artistic culture brought endless inspiration to her artistic creation after her return to China.

She created the D creative design gallery, which converged between the East and the West.

The gallery on the Suzhou river is not only a creative space for painting, furniture and jewelry design, but also a place to display Chinese antique furniture and modern works.

Exhibitions were held in France, Britain, Switzerland and the United States.

In 2006, she led the Chinese Pavilion for the first time to participate in the Santa Fe International Design Biennial.

In the same year, Hermes China invited her to design windows for brands in Chinese stores.

A year later, she met with brand President Patrick Thomas at a dinner party.

The latter is looking for the right person to create "China Hermes".

Jiang Qiong Er suggested building a high-end Chinese style brand.
