The world financial crisis since 2008 has swept the world. The ramie industry, which is mainly exported to Dazhu, has been impacted unprecedentedly. A large number of textile enterprises have stopped production or gone bankrupt, and a large number of workers have been laid off.

In order to ensure the high quality of the forum, Dazhu County CPPCC has made full preparations: specialized statistics on ramie production, sale and inventory in 50 townships and towns of the county, focusing on 8 main producing areas; investigating and analyzing ramie textile enterprises in the whole county; especially digging up and summarizing the experience of Dazhu County, which has been adhering to normal production and operation; organizing relevant personnel to go to Hubei, Hunan and other places for on-site inspection, drawing on advanced technology and management experience of foreign enterprises; and inviting experts from domestic ramie textile industry and experts from textile industry in the province to give advice.
