From "machine man", "Yue Guang Bao box" to the latest "fairy goddess", Sun Li followed Jeffrey Lau, a spoof actor, to shoot three comedy movies.

I don't know how Jeffrey Lau discovered the comedy talent of Sun Li. Sun Li also wondered about this question. She said comedy is a process of liberating nature.

Whether or not you want to continue digging into comedy in the future, Sun Li admits that comedy is not very suitable for itself.

Interviewer: do you think you have a comedy talent after making three comedies with director Jeffrey Lau?

Sun Li: when he played the machine man, he said to me, "you can play silly big sister."

My first reaction was, "ah, no one ever asked me to be a comedy."

He said, "you can."

It is a great fun to cooperate with director Jeffrey Lau. Taking his play is a process of liberating nature, so that I can really open myself to shape the role.

Reporter: are you satisfied with your performance?

Sun Li: not bad, at least at the box office.

Reporter: have you tried any more comedy in Jeffrey Lau's plays?

Sun Li: to tell you the truth, I don't really think so.

I don't think comedy is my main business. It's not what I want to do.

It can only be said that it is an attempt.

Reporter: do you want to continue making similar comedies? Is it because you are not very good in these dramas?

Sun Li: No, there is nothing wrong with the image. I think playing a silly elder sister or playing ugly is not my concern for shaping the character, so long as it is consistent with the characters and how to do it.

Reporter: have you shifted your focus from TV series to movies in recent one or two years?

Sun Li: in fact, it is not deliberate. From my debut to the present, I have been making TV dramas and trying some roles, so I will be more picky about TV dramas. Some roles have been played. It is unnecessary to repeat them all the time.

I have just entered the movie. There are many roles I have never tried. There are many ideas and roles to try.

Reporter: after many actors took several films, they found that they had no way to adapt to the rhythm of the TV play. Do you have such trouble?

Sun Li: I am very lucky. The recent TV shows are very serious. Seriously, I feel no difference from making movies.

Like this "harem The Legend of Zhen Huan" is the longest cycle in all the TV series I've ever filmed.

The whole movie was done in the form of a movie.

When shooting with a movie lens, almost every shot needs a ruler.

So the speed will be slow.

Reporter: will this kind of shooting method become a standard for you to pick and play in the future?

Sun Li: actually, TV plays are hard to pick for me now. After all, there are not many dramas like "harem, The Legend of Zhen Huan". I hope that the TV series that are filming are fine.
