In the past two years, the survival and development of leather industry in Wuji county has been established. After several experts' argumentation and study abroad, the general idea of "environmental protection, planning, guidance and policy co-ordination" has been established.
According to the briefing, Wuji county has hired the Research Institute of leather and footwear industry of China and the Shijiazhuang planning and Design Institute to formulate the general plan for the leather new area, and is formulating the regulatory detailed rules and industrial development plans for the new leather area.
The Wuji county will integrate existing enterprises, reduce market forces and environmental protection means, restrain the small and support the big, help the good and limit the bad, and turn the present "small large group" into "large scale small groups".
At present, Wuji county is speeding up the construction of the sewage treatment plant, ensuring that the comprehensive sewage treatment plant renovation and expansion project will run through the water at the end of November this year. The tannery wastewater treatment project will be put into operation in March next year, so as to achieve the three level management pattern of the primary management of enterprises, the professional treatment of wastewater treatment centers, and the centralized treatment of urban comprehensive sewage treatment plants.
