Storage Branch: Monthly Report On Cotton Turnover Inventory (October 2010)

Entering the October, new cotton began to be listed in large quantities, and the number of cotton stocks in warehouses increased earlier.

But affected by many factors, compared with the same period in previous years, it is still low, and Xinjiang cotton is the main stock.

The cotton warehouse Association of China Cotton Association has counted 109 warehousing units. As at the end of October 2010, the total turnover of commodity cotton turnover was 500 thousand tons (100 thousand tons in the mainland and 400 thousand tons in Xinjiang), with an increase of 411 thousand tons in the annulus. Based on this, it was estimated that the total turnover of commodity cotton turnover in China was about 546 thousand tons, an increase of 439 thousand tons from the previous month.

In the month, 21 Xinjiang pit stations sent 102 thousand tons of cotton to the mainland by railway, and the new year's new frontier cotton pportation was launched in an all-round way.

1. The mainland

As of the end of October 2010, the turnover of commodity cotton turnover in the 89 cotton warehouses in the mainland was 10 tons, an increase of 32 thousand tons, a decrease of 23 thousand tons compared with the same period last year.

Affected by adverse weather conditions during the cotton growing season, output declined slightly, and the time of new cotton maturity was postponed, coupled with the rapid and sharp rise in prices. Cotton purchasing processing enterprises were cautious in entering the market.

The progress of cotton warehousing in Xinjiang is faster than that in the mainland.

As of the end of October 2010, 21 warehouses in Xinjiang were converted to 400 thousand tons of commodity cotton week (middle), with an increase of 379 thousand tons.

In that month, the above pfer stations pported 102 thousand tons of cotton to the mainland through the railway. The new year's shipment of New Territories cotton has been fully launched in the new year.
