ITMA (International Textile Machinery Exhibition) will first open up the fiber and yarn area in 2011, covering natural fibers, synthetic fibers and industrial fibers and their yarn products.

Stephen R.Combes, chairman of ITMA owner CEMATEX (European Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association), said: "as the largest textile machinery exhibition in the world, ITMA has been seeking breakthroughs to get closer to customer needs.

Over the past few months, we have received feedback from some leading fiber manufacturers and spectators. They hope to include fiber and yarn in the exhibition area.

The relevant data show that the world fiber consumption is increasing gradually, so it is very timely to increase this unit in the 60 anniversary of ITMA.

With the gradual improvement of the economic situation, ITMA 2011 has been in a good position.

Up to now, about 1000 textile machinery manufacturers in 36 countries and regions have submitted booth applications, and the exhibition has an exhibition area of 100 thousand m2.

According to Mr. Combes, more than 15% of enterprises applying for exhibitors in the exhibition have applied for larger booths than ITMA 2007.

At present, booth bookings by CEMATEX member countries occupy about 80% of the total exhibition area.

Among the top 5 countries are Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Spain and Belgium (according to the booth area).

Among the Member States, India manufacturers will be the largest overseas exhibition group, followed by Japan, Turkey, Taiwan and Mainland China.

Judging from the exhibits, the finishing equipment has the largest exhibition area, accounting for about 30% of the total exhibition area.

In addition to exhibitors' active entry, ITMA2011 has also received many in the global textile and apparel industry.

Up to now, more than 85 trade associations from more than 50 countries and regions have expressed support for the holding of the exhibition.

ITMA 2011 is at the time of celebrating the 60th anniversary anniversary of ITMA. It is also reported that ITMA 2015 will be held from 12 to 19 November 2015 at the Fiera Milano Rho Exhibition Center in Milan, Italy. The total exhibition area is expected to reach 100 thousand m2. MPI will continue to be the sponsor of the exhibition after ITMA 2011.
