    At 9 o'clock yesterday morning, the reporter came to Jinggu shoes company, located in Longwan Industrial District of Wenzhou. At the gate of the company, there was a big red "recruitment advertisement". Besides the number of Posts and recruiters, they also threw out the "reward card": all the new and old employees came to the factory in February 11th with three levels of reward: 9 in February, 800 yuan, 10 in February, 700 yuan in February, 11 yuan in February, and 600 yuan in reward.

    According to a statistics made by the Wenzhou economic department, Wenzhou shoe enterprises generally have a 10% to 20% shortage in every factory.

    However, the reporter found in the interview that since the second half of 2009, the footwear industry in Wenzhou has been gradually warming up, but the shoe enterprises' "mixed feelings" are due to the increase of external orders and the prosperity of domestic sales, while the shoe companies are planning to expand the new production line while facing the shortage of labor.


    Jindi company, located in Wenzhou Binhai Economic Development Zone, is the top ten export enterprises of Wenzhou footwear industry. At present, there are 8500 employees and 19 million 660 thousand pairs of women's shoes annually.

    According to Zheng Shili, Secretary of the Party committee of the company, the current foreign trade situation is improving. This year, the production of Jin Di women's shoes is expected to exceed 20 million pairs. For this reason, 2 new production lines will be added and 500 new employees will be needed.


    Zheng Shili said that the salary of Jin Di's employees almost increased by 10% every year, and the welfare benefits were all wrapped up and subsidized meals.

    Against this background, the annual turnover rate of Jin Di employees is only 5%. However, due to the shortage of workers, the recruitment pressure is not small.


    Reporters interviewed that although the companies interviewed claimed that "wages rose by 10% every year", but the workers' reaction was "real average, wages rose by 100 yuan up and down."

    Although there are general practitioners who say they will get about 4000 yuan a month at most, they must work hard 12 hours a day.

    The migrant workers interviewed said: "for the individual, wages and working hours are the two most important factors for shoemaking workers. They are tired and not paid well, and do not want to do it themselves."

    Zhao Ping, a 28 year old machine maintenance worker and Lichuan man, has a monthly salary of 2500 yuan, and his wife is also working as a mechanic with a monthly salary of 3000 yuan.

    Zhao Ping was not satisfied with the present state. So he and his sister raised 160 thousand yuan together and bought 20 knitting machines in their hometown in Lichuan last year.

    "My sister used to work in Jindi, she has experience. She supervised in Lichuan. I drove a van every month to send raw materials from Wenzhou to my hometown, and I made a Wenzhou order, making 8000 pairs a year."

    Zhao Ping said.


    In addition, Zhao Pingxin is quite big. "I want to open another shoemaking plant in Wenzhou this year. Anyway, we Hubei people have technology, have townships, and do big business together. It's better to work for themselves."


    Like Zhao Ping, Bian Zhaocheng, the 30 year old minister of development department, is also a strong "Hubei shoemaker". He came from Huangshi and worked in Wenzhou for 10 years.

    "10 years ago, I was an ordinary lathe worker, taking about a thousand yuan a month. Now I do product R & D design, wages raise a lot, not to mention that I have also completed the role conversion."


    Reporters learned that Hubei shoemaker has become a well-known brand in Wenzhou footwear industry.

    "Hubei shoemaker is pragmatic, insightful and diligent" and has become a special presence in the eyes of many other provinces and townships.
