    Trade Protective Textiles

According to data from GTA, a subsidiary of the European Economic Policy Research Center (CEPR), Argentina has adopted 121 protective measures for the world's largest trade protection countries, followed by Russia, up to 119.

The group points out that the countries affected by Argentina's trade protection policies are:

China (65), Thailand (40), Indonesia (39), Malaysia, Singapore and South Korea (38 each), Vietnam (37), Hongkong (35), Brazil and Pakistan (31 items), South Korea (29), Germany (28), Italy and West ban (27), United States (25) and Uruguay (25).

Argentina's protective measures are categorization of products, with more than one country affected.

The report points out that GTA's official statistics on trade barriers policy are based on official documents. However, a number of import protection policies in Argentina have not been credited or orally notified.

The report also points out that the government of Argentina has done its best to restrict imports, but its effectiveness is not clear.

According to official statistics, trade imports in Argentina in the first quarter of this year (2011) grew by 38% compared with the same period last year, and exports grew by 12%.

    Export growth

Because of the increase in international raw material prices, its export volume is decreasing.

The trade deficit with other members of the Mercosur market reached US $1 billion 700 million in 2010. The largest debtor country was Brazil, and the trade deficit with the North American Free Trade Area (NAFTA) was US $2 billion. The affected countries including Argentina, Uruguay, the United States and Canada were affected by a number of protection policies adopted by Argentina.

Between January and April this year, Argentina and the Mercosur market grew 31% in imports, 29% in exports, 45% in imports with NAFTA, and 36% in exports.

    Trade

The deficit amounted to $1 billion 300 million, which was half of the 2010 trade deficit.

In recent years, the government of Argentina has intensified its protection measures, requiring many enterprises to set up production plants instead of imports, and adopt strict or prohibiting imports to enterprises that do not intend to set up factories.

For example, German BMW company has banned import of the company's products such as steam and locomotives because it has no intention of setting up factories in Argentina.

The report also pointed out that a number of enterprises were delayed by the proposed import reduction plan, and the government was referring to the threat of tax arrears or cancellation of import tax reduction.

However, Argentina's bilateral trade Argentina enjoyed a favorable balance of $3 billion 600 million in 2010, just because Chile's bilateral relations tightened due to a limited number of trade barriers.

According to GTA, Chile is subject to

    Argentina

There are 24 restrictions on trade restrictions, but the same restrictions apply to many products in Argentina.

According to statistics, Argentina has become a more closed market than Europe. Its non automatic import licensing measures have caused trade conflicts with Brazil, and a number of import restrictions have also been imposed on Asian textile products.

On the other hand, Argentina is also limited by the trade barriers measures implemented by other countries. The impact measures are as high as 236, only 8 from Brazil, the largest trade barrier country to Russia, and 21 measures to protect Argentina.
