North Xinjiang Cotton Enterprises To Buy Cautious Price At 2.5 Yuan / Jin
Since August, Xinjiang's spot sales have accelerated.
At present, the average price of grade 2 lint is 13500 yuan / ton, and the 3 grade is 13400 yuan / ton. After a period of low price sales, the cotton enterprises have recovered some funds, and the loans of the purchasing and processing enterprises in Northern Xinjiang are basically settled.
In the first half of 2006, the lesson of sales difficulties is just around the corner. The cotton enterprises in Northern Xinjiang are more cautious when buying new cotton. The average price of grade 3 seed cotton is estimated at 2.5 yuan / kg. The industry believes that it may rise to 2.6 yuan / Jin in mid September.
It is understood that the northern Xinjiang region has begun picking new cotton, and the acquisition of Changji and Kuitun has also begun. The price announced by these regions is: the 3 grade seed cotton with 36% lint percentage is 2.3 yuan / Jin, and the lint 40% is 2.5 yuan / Jin, according to the average linen level 37.8%, the average price of 3 cotton is 2.4 yuan / kg; some of the individual cotton merchants in Wusu receive 3 yuan seed cotton price of 2.8 yuan / jin (lint 40%), but some large scale enterprises in Wusu and Shawan are not yet in place, and these enterprises are expected to start buying in August 25th.
Most of the cotton farmers do not seem to approve of the current scale. Therefore, most of the cotton farmers who are eager to cash in the sale are seed cotton (3 below and 35%) with drought.
Most cotton growers still hold high expectations for the future market, and think that prices will rise to more than 2.6 yuan / Jin.
According to the industry analysis, if the lint price of grade 3 lint is 13400 yuan / ton this year, the cotton seed price will be 0.55 yuan / Jin, processing fee 450 yuan / ton, seed cotton loss 10% (water and clothes loss) and average lint 37.5%. The seed cotton purchase price is set at 2.6 yuan / Jin, which is more suitable. Therefore, the price of the seed cotton will be closer to the cotton grower's expectation in the middle of September.
