Minzu University of China Academy of Fine Arts

The teaching building is a teaching base specializing in the cultivation of fine arts talents of ethnic minorities.

In 1959, with the development of our country and the development of various ethnic regions, the Central College of nationalities decided to set up an art department, and the fine arts discipline set up two professional directions, namely, Chinese painting and oil painting. From the China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Academy of Fine Arts and Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in Zhejiang, a number of outstanding undergraduate graduates were pferred. They worked together with the national painting professional teachers who merged with the Central South Nationalities College to build up a strict and scientific teaching system adapted to the minority youth.

Branch establishment

Academy of Fine Arts also has set up an art research room, a print and screen printing studio, a computer art studio, a ceramic workroom, etc. in addition to its existing painting (oil painting, Chinese painting), art design (decoration design, costume design, video design) and Fine Arts (Art Education).

Students and teachers

From 1959 to 1968, Minzu University of China Academy of Fine Arts has nearly 200 undergraduate and professional graduates from fifteen ethnic groups of Tibet, Wei, Meng, Bai, Dong, Miao, Yao, Zhuang, Naxi, DPRK, Jingpo, Manchu, Hui, Daur and Kazakhstan and returned to their respective home towns. They have become the first generation of senior professional talents of National Fine Arts trained by the first generation in various ethnic areas. From 1972 to 1976, they recruited more than 150 students of more than 150 years of painting majors and more than 30 ethnic groups, and the students returned to their respective ethnic areas after their studies.

Since then, the situation of the five ethnic autonomous regions, especially the remote autonomous prefectures and counties, has been fundamentally changed. Many of them have made unremitting efforts to become the backbone of local art creation, research and teaching, and some have also become leading artists or local art institutions and teaching units at home and abroad.

Among them are the first generation of artists of Chinese traditional painting, such as: Qiang sang (Tibet), Turdi Yiming (Wei), Zheng Dongshou (Chao), the first generation of craft artists Lv Guochang (Chao), and famous oil painter Karim Nasertin (Wei), Li Fuyi, Jin Longwu and so on.

Since the resumption of the college entrance examination in 1977, more than 2000 students from more than 30 ethnic groups have been recruited and graduated. These young people of all ethnic groups in the period of reform and opening to the outside world are full of vigor and vitality. They have fully applied their artistic talents in the subject areas they have learned, and have made gratifying achievements for the development of Fine Arts in minority areas, and have won favorable comments from various employers.

Since 1985, Academy of Fine Arts has obtained the right to award master's degree in painting from the approval of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, and established the doctoral point in 2001. Since then, Academy of Fine Arts has truly become the teaching unit of art creation, scientific research and teaching specialized talents with three academic levels that can train minority areas.

Up to now, more than 30 graduate students in three research directions have been trained and graduated from traditional Chinese painting, oil painting and design. Their research ability, academic level and professional level have been recognized by various circles.

Academy of Fine Arts has 42 teachers, including 3 professors and 8 associate professors, most of whom are graduate or graduate students.

School development

The development of Academy of Fine Arts of the central min university is inseparable from the unremitting efforts of several generations. In those years, a group of outstanding graduates from the famous fine arts colleges and universities in the fine arts period were now the greyish old adults with the greyish white temples. They devoted their whole life to devote themselves to the education of minority nationalities in fine arts. They made historic contributions to change the lack of ethnic art talents in the minority areas, and laid a solid foundation for the development of Academy of Fine Arts and the strict and scientific teaching system, the complete set of teaching materials, the construction of library materials and the improvement of various teaching facilities.

These scholars are outstanding national art educationalists, and are the founders of fine arts education for ethnic minorities in China.

They are Zhang Jiayan, Chen Ziwei, Hao Hongzhang, Chen Yili, Wu Hongkui, Jiang Zhenming, Zhu Yuekui, Zhu Yuekui, Wang Yizhou, Wei, Qi, Qi, Qi, Qi, Qi, Luo, Luo Yi, Zhou Qing, Wei, Qi, and so on.

After 1975, in order to enrich the teaching staff, and from the fine arts colleges and art institutions, a batch of artists with professional achievements were successively pferred. After 1982, a group of famous art college graduates joined the Faculty of Academy of Fine Arts. They fully displayed their talents in art creation and teaching work.

At present, their works often take part in some major exhibitions at home and abroad, and have won praise from peers and the whole society for their distinctive personal style, unique national features and artistic taste. More than 60 people have won more than 100 awards at home and abroad. Many teachers have made academic exchanges or lectures in the United States, France, Britain, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Russia, Czech, Yugoslavia, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Taiwan. Many teachers' works are not only collected by the The National Gallery, Beijing Artists Association, art museums at the international level, but also by foreign collectors and foreign art museums in the United States, France, Japan, etc.

School growth

The growth of the Academy of Fine Arts, Minzu University of China, has also been given the care and help of famous artists such as Li Kuchan, Zhou Yuanliang, Ye Qianyu, Li Keran, Wang Xuetao, Kang Yin, Wen Jinyang, Wei Qimei, Wei Qimei, etc., who often come to the school and make a professional demonstration, so that teachers and students can benefit a lot.

School external communication

With the deepening of reform and opening up, artists from the United States, France, Switzerland, Japan, Korea and other countries also come to college to give lectures, so that teachers and students can directly understand the history, current situation and development trend of foreign fine arts, and further expand international academic exchanges.

Over the past two years, the Institute has invited over 30 influential artists at home and abroad to hold exhibitions and lectures in the Department. At the same time, more than 10 teachers have gone abroad to visit, lecture and hold personal exhibitions.

School running idea

Minzu University of China Academy of Fine Arts has always formulated strict and scientific teaching plans and implementation plans in accordance with the requirements of regular art education, attached importance to the all-round improvement of all aspects of students' quality, paid enough attention to the basic courses of culture and professional theoretical courses, placed the top priority in strengthening the training of basic skills, in order to facilitate the long-term development of students, persisted in the creation course, persisted in in-depth life and reflected the reality of minority nationalities, and molded typical images of minority nationalities. At the same time, during the teaching process, we should pay attention to guiding students to independently explore their professional skills in painting, while absorbing the useful techniques and crafts of predecessors and foreign countries, and always taking the distinctive national features and national life contents as important subjects of their artistic practice.

In addition, Academy of Fine Arts can expand students' knowledge and increase their understanding of art under the possible conditions.

School Honors

In recent years, teachers have published nearly 30 personal monograph, published more than 100 papers, and published more than 500 paintings, 8 of which are Chinese level projects.

In September 1998, the new teaching building was completed, and the completion of the new teachers' studio in 2001, all of which improved the conditions for running the school. After the approval of the Central People's University's "211 Project", the school increased its investment in the Academy.

As a national art education unit, the object of its training is mainly young people of ethnic minorities. Its mission is to train high-quality professionals of fine arts for ethnic minority areas.

This is different from that of the fraternal colleges and universities in considering the whole nation and giving consideration to the ethnic minority areas. Therefore, in guiding the guiding ideology of running schools, in addition to following the common law of art education in Colleges and universities, we should also pay full attention to the advantages and characteristics of the minority nationalities, so as to occupy a place in many art schools in China.

For this reason, for more than forty years, the academy has always attached importance to ethnic policy and national unity, and has maintained ideological education for the reunification of the motherland. At the same time, it has taught students to attach importance to the cultural and artistic traditions of their own nation, love their excellent culture, pay attention to drawing nutrition from their treasures, attach importance to the quality of teaching, and attach importance to the artistic level of teachers' creation.

In recent years, it has held a joint exhibition of teachers' works at the China Art Museum and the national culture palace. In 2002, a series of teachers' exhibitions were held. Leaders of the relevant departments of the central government and leaders of the higher authorities attended the opening ceremony and received the attention and high evaluation of the art and capital news media.
