India'S Garment Industry Was Hit By The Reduction Of Spinning Mills.
The India spinners complained to the government about cotton yarn on 23 May.
Export restriction
After the lifting of the ban, the cotton yarn inventory was piled up, and the planned output cut was 1/3, which caused great losses to India garment manufacturers and exporters.
About 1998 textile mills in India participated in the day's production protest, demanding that the India government attach importance to India's cotton industry.
India cotton spinning industry pointed out that since the India government lifted the export restrictions on cotton yarn since April 1st, the cotton price has dropped and the domestic demand market has been weakened, resulting in a serious reduction in its production, thus reducing its production by 1/3.

But the ApparelExportPromotionCouncil (AEPC), the ClothingManufacturersAssociationofIndia (CMAI) and the Rupp Exporters Association (TirupurExportersAssociation) (TEA) in India have rebutted that there is no such thing as the Cotton Spinners.
"The whole garment and value added industry is grateful to the government of India textile department and the League of solidarity and Progressive Alliance (UPA) for ensuring that cotton and cotton yarns are supplied with no shortage of domestic supply in India and are determined to protect consumers and employment opportunities."
On the contrary, the India Clothing Group believes that the weak demand for cotton is due to the unprecedented surge of speculation and hoarding of raw cotton and cotton yarn in the past year.
They also claim that the decline in cotton prices reflects the recent decline in raw cotton prices, making spinning mills face.
at the critical juncture of life and death
Because most spinning mills buy cotton at high prices.
"The garment industry is seriously frustrated, but because of price resistance, it is difficult for them to pfer the sharp increase in prices to the end consumers".
AEPC, CMAI and TEA added that clothing buyers have been scared away by expensive raw materials.
The garment industry in India is not in favor of artificially controlling the supply of cotton yarn by way of production reduction. If this happens, the garment industry in India will appeal to the government to import zero tariff of cotton yarn to provide a fair competition environment.
