National Defense General: The Country Is About To Enter The Main Flood Season.

Longtan Village, Tianma Town, Changshan County, Zhejiang Province, was hit by a torrential flood.

The meeting stressed that it is now in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, the rainy season in the Yangtze and Huaihe regions, and the active typhoon season in the southeast and Southern China coast.

Although the total rainfall in the whole country is less than 20% this year, and the drought is serious in some areas, the possibility of excessive rainfall in the latter part of the area is further increased.

Whole country

According to the meeting analysis, there are five main characteristics of the current flood and drought situation in China.

First, the droughts and floods in the south turn sharply, and rainstorms and floods are frequent.

Since June 3rd, over 90 flood occurred in over 90 small and medium rivers in Taihu and the southern provinces.

Two, heavy rainfall and heavy local disasters.

The three is the late typhoon formation and the early landing time.

Four, the main river water level is normal, and the flood situation is generally stable.

At present, except for Taihu and Guangdong Beijiang, upper reaches of Fujian Minjiang and some tributaries of the Yangtze River, the flood waters of the Yangtze River, Zhujiang River and Huaihe are all below the warning level.

Five, overall drought relief and local drought continued.

Taihu water level for the first time

Affected by heavy rainfall, the water level of the Taihu River Basin and surrounding river networks has increased rapidly.

On the 19 day and 8 o'clock, the average water level of Taihu rose to 3.60 meters, exceeding the warning level of 0.10 meters. There were 34 hydrologic stations in Taihu's peripheral river network and Hangzhou jiaxhu Lake area.

As at 19 o'clock, 8 hours, the water level of the lower reaches of Jianli and the two lakes in the Yangtze River has exceeded 0.41 to 0.80 meters in the same historical period, but still below the warning level.

On the evening of 18, a new round of heavy rainfall is coming in parts of northern Jiangxi.

Poyang Lake's water level rose rapidly, breaking through the average of the same year.

At 19 o'clock, 14 hours, the water level of Xingzi station in Poyang Lake reached 16.75 meters, which was higher than the mean value of the same period (in June 1st, the water level of Xingzi station was only 10.31 meters).

On the 18 day, the fourth round of heavy rains hit Zhejiang, and many rivers such as Qian Tang River were out of alarm.

On the 18 day, 3 o'clock, in the Nanxi village of Nanxi Town, Jinzhai County, Anhui Province, the rear slopes of two villagers' houses were caused by rain into the soil, resulting in landslides, forming about more than 10 cubic meters of debris flow.

From 17 to 18, heavy rain and heavy rainstorms occurred in most parts of Hubei.

Tropical cyclone activity in the coming week

According to the latest forecast of the Central Meteorological Observatory, in the coming week, the rainfall in China will mainly be concentrated in Jianghuai and Southern China, and the north will also usher in a rainfall process, of which Huang Huai has larger rainfall.

It is expected that two tropical cyclones will be generated next week and affect China. Meteorological experts have warned that the southeast coastal areas should pay attention to the preparations for typhoon prevention.
