Macao's First Industrial Export Survey &Nbsp; Garment Industry Has 2.97 Months' List.
According to the data of the "industrial export situation survey" submitted by the manufacturers in April 2011 for the first quarter of 2011, the respondents were at hand.

The monthly average was 2.36 months, 3.19 and 2.49 months respectively, compared with the previous quarter and the same period in 2010.
The garment manufacturing industry has 2.97 months' orders on hand and 1.79 months for other industries.
In the export market, according to the "comprehensive index of quarterly market orders", the respondents generally believed that China, the United States, other Asian Pacific countries and EU countries were relatively better performing markets; however, the export market in Japan was not performing well, and the order was not ideal.

In terms of employment, respondents said that the number of employees engaged in the export industry continued to decrease. The number of employees engaged in the export industry decreased by 13.4% and 21.3% respectively compared with the previous quarter and the same period in 2010.
63.3% of the respondents said there was a shortage of personnel, the figure was higher than the previous quarter and the same period in 2010, 53.8% and 51.8%, indicating a sharp demand for personnel. Among them, the clothing manufacturing industry accounted for 69.2% of the respondents in the industry, which was much higher than that in the previous quarter and the same period in 2010, 54.8% and 50.4%.

"Rising prices" are the main concerns of enterprises, followed by "foreign price competition" and "shortage of personnel" and so on, with a ratio of 63.5% and 56% respectively.
