Founded in 1990, the first generation of new generation of university students represented by President Hou Defu and other new generation first generation university students started from scratch with selfless dedication and arduous struggle. They are the first privately run universities in Guangdong province. They are the only universities in the country with the name of "private" in the name of two, formerly known as "Guangzhou Hualian practical foreign language science and technology vocational school".

Schools operate in accordance with shareholding system, and implement the five in one system of "founders, owners, decision makers, managers, educators", the running mode of professors running schools, the principal responsibility system under the leadership of the board of directors, and the three level "tree like" management mechanism of the school departments.

At the beginning of the establishment of the school, only 63 students and 5 teachers have developed to today. They have 1080 acres of campus land, two campuses, a training center, 130 thousand square meters of school buildings, and 400 million yuan of fixed assets.

There are 19 departments, 39 specialties, over 8000 students and 800 teaching staff.

"Education changes destiny" is the school running idea. The practice of Tao Xingzhi's educational thought is the school running characteristic.

In the 20 years since the founding of the school, 25000 people have been trained for the society.

We must adhere to the market orientation and take the needs of the society as the goal. We should cultivate students' comprehensive ability of "creativity + practical" and "Art + technology". We have special studios, multi-media classrooms and training rooms in the school, and cooperate with the garment enterprises to set up an external learning base outside the school, providing students with a good learning and practice environment.

The basis of fashion design, the outline of design, the basis of clothing drawing, the basis of garment technology, and the science of clothing materials.

Main courses: Costume painting techniques, fashion design, clothing structure design, clothing thematic design, Chinese and foreign clothing history, clothing three-dimensional cutting, garment computer aided design, design thinking training, clothing display design, etc.

Direction of employment: it can engage in various garment enterprises in garment design, clothing product development and design, garment production planning and management. It can also engage in apparel information and information collection, clothing consultation, fashion magazine reviews, clothing shopping guide and clothing display design in all kinds of garment related industries.
