Consumer Product Safety Act Of Canada Enters Into Force

Steven Blaney, Veterans Affairs Minister, is pleased to announce that the consumer goods safety act of Canada has now been settled.

The law will replace the 40 year old laws designed to protect Canadians from unsafe products.

The minister said, "I am glad to see that the government is now capable of eliminating dangerous products on store shelves.

As a mother, the new law gives me more confidence that I can buy toys and products for my children.

Minister Blaney said: "Canadians give the government a powerful task to enable the government to continue to revive the Canadian economy. Part of this task is to find Canadian consumers."

The purpose of the new law is to protect the health and safety of the people and to solve or prevent the dangers posed by consumer products.

The Canadian Consumer Safety Act strengthens the responsibility of the industry to ensure that they do not bring potentially dangerous consumer goods to the market.

The government reminds consumers that they can also play a role in product safety.

Product use should always be safe and should be used according to the instructions of the manufacturer.

The Canadian Ministry of health is also interested in receiving reports from consumers about accidents and injuries caused by consumer goods.
