Australian Designers Compete Fiercely (Chart)
Australian fashion experts warn that if local designers want to keep their careers in Australia fashion week next year, they need to be promoted in the competition.
Kirstie Clements, editor of fashion magazine, said Australia's fashion industry is under threat. Many designers in the middle market will not survive this year.
Clements said, "this competition will fundamentally change: as long as we see what has happened, the store of Zara, a Spanish clothing retailer, has queued up at the gate two weeks ago when there was always a queue for those clothes around the block."
"Zara has stepped up in popularity and price. Many Australian designers in the middle zone will have to improve themselves if they want to compete or walk out." Clement's comments were directed at the Australian Fashion Week in Sydney in from May 2nd to 6th. Dozens of international and local clothing buyers gathered in Sydney to watch the 57 2011/2012 spring and summer fashion show in the city.
One of the most common appearances in the show is the slit on the skirt and thigh height. Its features can be sewn down on either side, behind or along the smooth half length skirt and the front part of the dress, which is shown in the series of Zimmermann Alex, Alex (Carla Spetic), Carla Spetic (Karla Spetic), Fernando Fesoni (Fernando Frisoni), Duhem Lee (Dion Lee) and Yeojin spring launched in the spring and summer series.
Other dominant global trends from the 2011/2012 spring summer series are high necklines, contrasting vertical lines, color blocks, hollowed out and a large number of decorative zippers. These 2011/2012 spring summer series will appear in Australian clothing stores in August.
Clements and founder of Australian Fashion Week Simon Locke said that in some cases, the same design would hamper the development of the local fashion industry.
People want to come to fashion week to find something different from what they saw in Europe and North America. " Rock said.
For fashion editor clement, there are also some glittering moments in fashion week. He said that the highlights are Tony Matikviski (Maticevski), lover (Lover), Zimmerman, Lisa Ho (Lisa Ho) and Terrez Rosthorn (Therese Rawsthorne).
Marty J Weiss Ki's naturally inspired tailored dress and garment series even won the standing ovation of the audience. Clements said: "he is one of the main participants in the Australian fashion week, and I think he has shown the style of this fashion week."
