Ms. Chen said that the export footwear products accounted for more than 60% of the total output of footwear enterprises in Guangzhou. Therefore, the EU's decision is bound to affect the export of Guangzhou footwear products, but the Taiwanese footwear enterprises that are mainly affected in Guangzhou are enjoying some preferential policies when they originally introduced Taiwan capital, but the EU's anti-dumping duties were regarded as government subsidies, and then more stringent measures were taken. In addition, Taiwanese enterprises generally had a larger scale, so the impact would be greater.
On the contrary, local enterprises are less flexible because of their relatively small scale.
In addition, Ms. Chen also revealed that the EU is not the main export of Guangzhou shoe enterprises, and most of its footwear products are exported to the United States and Russia. Therefore, the EU anti-dumping measures have little impact on Guangdong shoe companies.
The EU's measures also make Guangdong shoe manufacturers reluctant to sell footwear products to Europe.
It is understood that, in view of the EU's final anti-dumping measures, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of foreign trade and economic cooperation of Guangdong also actively understand the views of various enterprises and organize their strength to deal with them.
But, last year, the EU decided to impose a 16.5% anti-dumping duty on Chinese leather shoes. Chinese enterprises once organized a collective complaint. The result is not ideal. The EU only gives a company full market status, which makes other enterprises less enthusiastic. In addition, the high cost of lawyers is also a problem. Therefore, although October 17th will be the 1st anniversary day when the EU anti-dumping decision on Chinese leather shoes is released for 1st Anniversary days, according to customary practice, after a year of anti-dumping duty, Chinese enterprises can get the chance to re apply for lowering the tax rate, but Guangzhou shoe enterprises are not enthusiastic about it.

According to Ms. Chen, before the last year's Canton Fair, the European Union announced anti-dumping duties on Chinese footwear, which reduced the number of traders from Europe.
Despite the plaguing of anti-dumping, data from customs showed that the export of China's footwear industry remained strong in the first half of this year.
The total export volume of domestic footwear products in the first half of the year was 4 billion 290 million pairs, an increase of 9.7% over the same period last year, and the total export volume was 11 billion 460 million US dollars, up 18.3% over the same period last year.
