AQSIQ recently approved the official approval of the National Key Laboratory of home textiles safety inspection in Shantou. The lab will provide technical services such as raw materials and product testing, technology research and development, information consultation and technical training for home textile enterprises, so as to help enterprises strengthen quality control, promote transformation and upgrading of enterprises, and enhance the competitiveness of traditional industries in the international market.

Last year, the total output value of Shantou's household textile industry was nearly 43 billion yuan, accounting for 1/3 of the total industrial output value of the whole city.
