Pakistan garment manufacturers and Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturersand Exporters Association (PRGMEA) chairman Ijaz Khokhar told the media that international garment buyers will be more concerned about Pakistan's orders, because energy shortages cause a lot of goods.

The abolition of import tax subsidy (DLTL) plan by the Pakistani government also means that at least 21 billion rupees of Pakistan's garment exporters are stuck in the hands of the government, resulting in the circulation of funds by SMEs in Pakistan.

Khokhar chairman said this situation will force the garment industry in Pakistan to develop outwards.

He explained that Bangladesh is the same language as Pakistani culture.

The Bangladesh textile industry has an uninterrupted and cheaper supply of energy, and its labor cost is not only cheaper, but also more than 40% of the efficiency of its employees. In addition, the European Union (EU) has provided the Generalized Systemof Preference (GSP) to provide Bangladesh textile clothing products zero tariff concessions.

Khokhar chairman explained that these factors combined provide an additional 25-30% profit for Bangladesh clothing exporters than Pakistan enterprises.

In addition, international buyers have set up offices and procurement offices in Bangladesh, and Pakistan exporters have also traveled to Bangladesh.

Khokhar chairman claimed that many of the knitted and woven garment manufacturers and exporters of Faisalabad and karat chi (Karachi) also moved all or part of their factories to Bangladesh to maintain close contact with buyers' offices in Bangladesh.

A delegation from Pakistan's garment exporters will visit Bangladesh after the Islamic month of Ramadan this year (around the end of August) to seek the possibility of combining the partnership and partnership with local garment manufacturers in Bangladesh.

Khokhar chairman said that the first phase of the outward development of Pakistan's garment industry, Pakistan knitted and woven garment SMEs plan to establish joint venture manufacturing partnership with Bangladesh entrepreneurs.

In the first stage, the garment production capacity of Pakistan 15-20% will be pferred to Bangladesh. In the second stage, we will focus on the use of Pakistan imported raw materials to set up the spinning and weaving factories.

Khokhar chairman explained that the outward bound development will allow Pakistan garment manufacturers to use Bangladesh to create more diversified products instead of being confined to the production of jeans.

Bangladesh textile industry has developed rapidly in recent years. As the largest manufacturing industry in China, it has employed nearly 5 million employees, contributed more than 80% of its foreign exchange earnings, and 13% of gross domestic product (GDP); its Export Processing Zones (EPZ) attracted more than 1 billion 740 million US dollars of foreign capital from over 30 countries.
