"Poison" Brand Clothing Sells In Shenzhen &Nbsp; There Is No NPE Content In China.

The green environmental protection group released the findings of toxic and harmful substances in global brand clothing last week.

Adidas, Lining and Nike and other 14 well-known brands of clothing were detected containing NPE which can affect sexual development (nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ether).

In August 28th, reporters in Dongmen and many other stores such as Adidas and Lining saw that the clothing of the related brands is still selling well.

Dongmen pedestrian street related brand stores sell normally

The result has been nearly a week since the announcement by Greenpeace. But yesterday (August 28th), reporters at the shops of Adidas, Lining and other brand clothing rows on Dongheng street, Dongmen, saw that they were not affected by the "NPE toxic" incident.

On the contrary, several companies are promoting sales, especially Adidas stores, which are almost blocked by consumers.

In the survey report released by Greenpeace International, 78 samples were selected, of which 28 were produced in China, and 19 samples contained NPE, involving Adidas.

Related stores said promotional products do not return

Yesterday afternoon, in Dongmen pedestrian street, one street Adidas, Lining, two sales shop clerk told reporters that their sales were not affected by the "NPE toxic" incident.

Reporters interviewed by the salesperson and several consumers said that they had not heard of the two brands of "toxic".

But the reporter noted that almost all involved brand stores are engaged in "full court promotion", such as Adidas's "full court costumes 5 fold", and Lining's costumes "2 to 22% off".

In front of the checkout counter in Lining store, it was also prompted that "promotional items will not be returned once sold," although this statement is related to consumers who have "quality problems that can be returned".

Because yesterday was Sunday, Adidas and Lining and other brands' consumer hotlines were not working, so whether sales promotion was related to drug-related news was unknown.

The NPE content of domestic sales products has not been specified.

Experts point out that NPE can be rapidly decomposed into nonylphenol (NP) in water, NP can simulate estrogen, interfere with the endocrine of organisms, and is toxic to reproductive system.

Because of their safety, some developed countries and regions have banned them for 20 years.

At the beginning of this year, nonylphenol (NP) and nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ether (NPE) were listed as prohibited substances for import and export for the first time by the Ministry of environmental protection and the General Administration of Customs issued the catalogue of toxic chemicals strictly restricted to import and export.

China has not yet made NPE for domestic products.

The market supervision bureau of Shenzhen recently announced the quality of clothing sampling inspection, which was released in June last year. The results of the second quarter of 2010 were the quality supervision and inspection of children's clothing products and commodities. The spot checks were carried out on the basis of GB 18401-2003 national safety standard for textile products and related product standards, the existing effective enterprise standards and product quality requirements, and the safety items such as formaldehyde content, pH value, decomposable aromatic amine dye, water fastness, sweat fastness, dry rubbing fastness, and other basic items such as fiber content and color fastness to soaping.

The main unqualified items were fiber content, pH value and color fastness.
