Korea Trade Association Promotes Business In Zhongshan District Of Dalian

Under the recommendation of Jiangnan District, South Korea's Seoul city in the friendly District of Zhongshan, in November 10th, the Korea trade association first came to Zhongshan district with the government of Jiangnan District for the first time, and jointly held the Korea China trade promotion trade fair in 2007 to find partners in more than 10 industries, such as medical devices, electronic parts, software development, leather flour and cosmetics.

Nearly more than 30 representatives from the relevant industries in Zhongshan district and leaders of other foreign trade and economic cooperation bureaus attended the fair.

Since the establishment of a friendly city in June 1994, fruitful results have been achieved in the cooperation and exchange between Zhongshan and Jiangnan District in the fields of economy, trade, culture and sports.

Each year, two districts have sent friendly visiting groups to carry out trade promotion activities such as investment promotion, project promotion and investment environment.

It is understood that Jiangnan District enterprises have more than 100 direct investment or joint venture enterprises in the mountain area, and more than 40 enterprises in Zhongshan district have trade cooperation with Jiangnan enterprises.

The economic and trade cooperation between the two districts has greatly promoted the development of the export-oriented economy in Zhongshan district. In the past 10 years, the proportion of Korean enterprises in the newly established foreign-funded enterprises in Zhongshan district has reached over 40%.

By the end of 10 in 2007, the number of Korean enterprises in the mountainous areas has reached 367, with a total investment of 140 million US dollars. IT, electronics, logistics, catering and so on have become an important part of the economic development in Zhongshan.

With the deepening of economic and trade cooperation, the friendship between the two districts has deepened year by year. The Taoyuan primary school in Zhongshan district has become a friendly school in Hedong primary school in Jiangnan district. In May this year, the Korean folk songs were sung for the first time in Zhongshan square. The folk tennis friendly matches between the two sides have been successfully held for 2 sessions.

In November 9th, the 10 badminton fans of Jiangnan district sports delegation held a friendship competition with the citizens of Zhongshan district.

The 10 Korean enterprises participating in the fair have a certain economic scale locally.

On their respective booths, they introduced and demonstrated the size, products and current market situation to the entrepreneurs of Dalian. The two sides also carried out specific consultations and discussions on the content of the cooperation.

In less than two hours, the conference reached more than 40 intention of economic and trade cooperation, with an intention amount of US $9 million 670 thousand.
