In order to ensure the smooth conduct of the visiting guests, the municipal government requires civil aviation, health, quality supervision, public security, tourism and other departments to formulate corresponding emergency plans, and deploy professionals to increase the inspection of special equipment such as elevators, cable cars and food safety, so as to create a good public environment for the Expo.
The Municipal Quality Supervision Bureau began to start out two months ago on 8 special equipment such as boilers, pressure vessels, elevators, lifting appliances, motor vehicles, amusement facilities, ropeways, and pressure pipes. At present, more than 11000 devices in 940 units have been inspected strictly, eliminating more than 80 hidden dangers and checking the registration of more than 800 devices.
