New prospecting areas in many provinces

There are 393 new prospecting areas for iron ore deposits. The potential resources are estimated to be 2.7 times that. The resource potential is mainly distributed in Benxi, Anshan, Jidong, Panzhihua and Luxi, Liaoning.

There are 101 new prospecting areas in bauxite. The potential resources are estimated to be 4.2 times that of the mineral resources. The resource potential is concentrated in Shanxi, Henan, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces.

The potential resources of coal and copper deposits reach 3 times of the proven reserves, and the areas with great potential for copper prospecting are concentrated in Tibet, southwest Sanjiang and Xinjiang.

The potential resources of lead-zinc deposits are 3.5 times that of proven reserves, and the potential areas for prospecting are northeast, Hunan and Guangdong and Guangxi.

The relevant authorities of the Ministry of land and land administration said that the survey results have been widely used in mineral resources protection projects and the "12th Five-Year" mineral exploration plan.
