China's Jewelry Designer Li Zhao's "Insect World"

When it comes to caterpillars, most people's first reaction must be disgust. Almost no one would think that this is a lovely animal. If you put a caterpillar into a jewelry, it will make some cowardly girls feel creepy by imagination alone. Now Li Zhao, a member of the Flanders Fashion lnstitute and a young jewellery designer who is the key carrier of the Belgian Designers Association (Design Flanders), has shown us a different side of caterpillars.

Li Zhao: he graduated from Royal College of Art in Antwerp, Belgium, and has a master's degree in jewelry design. Her own brand is Talitali By Zhao Li. Silk Bo's exaggerated style is the favorite of designer Li Zhao.

Li Zhaoceng, who was born in fashion design, studied at Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology and Saint Martin School of art and design in London. He went to Royal College of Art in Antwerp in 2006 to study jewelry design. Turning to fashion design to jewelry design, she gave the explanation: "I feel that my artistic inspiration is more inclined to jewelry design, and I am particularly fascinated by the infinite possibilities of ordinary materials such as metals, plastics, glass, textiles and so on in jewelry design." In the course of four years of study, Li Zhao received a bachelor's degree in jewelry design, first grade honorary graduation, and the annual scholarship of the whole college.

In 2010, Li Chao graduated from the master's degree. The caterpillar design is the master's graduation work of Li Zhao, "Finding Neverland". When it comes to the inspiration of this series of works, it is quite a coincidence. In Li Zhao's graduation design, some manufacturers provided a batch of design materials for graduates. "This is a kind of medical plastic. When it becomes soft, it has a very amazing shaping effect." I chose the caterpillar which everyone would be afraid of as the prototype of the work, and wanted to create a more beautiful effect through this visual impact. Li Zhao's approach was clearly successful because her graduation work became the first Chinese mainland to enter the special exhibition of the international jewellery competition in Tallinn, Munich, Germany.

After graduation, Li Zhao founded his own jewellery brand Talitali By Zhao Li in Belgium and launched her new work, "Caterpillar's advice", which is a derivative of "Finding Neverland" series and a series of commercialized works. In the new works, Li Zhao basically used the original material, but the color is more colorful, and it also adds works other than caterpillars, which is easier for people to accept. In addition, besides the ring and brooch, necklace and other accessories are added. Therefore, this series of works has been praised by the authority of the Belgian jewellery designer Larit Max Decook (Laurent Max-De Cock) and many other customers. Its jewelry website has a high hit rate in Europe, America and Asia.

"I just do something I like, not what I do this year." I hope my works will be available in ten years if anyone else likes it. " Speaking of the next work plan, Li Zhao began to appear eager. "I will take part in a Show Room in Paris from September to October this year. By that time, I will have some new works on display. Next March, I should also launch a new dress design with my friends. In addition, I feel that the domestic art atmosphere is particularly good, and many designer friends have also developed very well. If there is a chance, I also hope to shift my focus to domestic work.
