Peru'S Textile Exports In September Amounted To $1 Billion 392 Million, An Increase Of 26% Over The Same Period Last Year.
Peru Foreign Trade Association recently reported that Peru's external exports amounted to US $33 billion 849 million in September (2011), up 33% from the same period last year, but exports in September decreased by 19% compared with last month.
In the 1-9 month of this year, the export volume of traditional secretaries was 33 billion 849 million US dollars, an increase of 32% over the same period last year. However, the export volume in September was reduced by 22% compared with August. The main reason is that the international market price has reduced the export volume of ore products by 24%, of which the copper export volume is 832 million US dollars, a decrease of 31% from the previous month, and 8.88 of the gold export, a decrease of 11% from the previous month.
In the 1-9 months, the export volume of non traditional products was 7 billion 272 million US dollars, up 36% from the same period last year.
However, the export volume in September was also lower than that in August, but the decrease was smaller than that of traditional products. The most important export of agricultural and animal husbandry products was 1 billion 918 million US dollars, an increase of 31% over the same period last year, but the export volume in September was 14% lower than that in August.
The textile industry exported US $1 billion 392 million, an increase of 26% over the same period last year, but exports in September decreased by 12% compared with August. This shows that the world economic recession is beginning to affect Peru's exports.
In the 1-9 month, its exports to its largest export market increased by 28%, exports to the second largest markets decreased by 4%, and exports to major export markets such as Switzerland, Canada and Japan grew by 55%, 29% and 14% respectively.
However, in September, compared with last month, the export of secret to other markets has declined considerably except Canada, and exports to China have decreased by 36%.
