These dolls and colorful national costumes are hand-made by Wang Cuiying, a retired female worker in Xi'an. She kneaded 56 pairs of 112 dolls with soft metal, and then used Crochet to tailor the colorful national costumes to make the first doll for 3 years.

Ms. Wang said she liked to do some knitting crafts from her childhood, and she also had strong interest in national costumes. After retiring in 2007, she began to look at the picture books and weave miniature national costumes with cloth hooks. But she also felt that flat objects could not fully display the original aesthetic feeling of objects, so she made metal sculpting dolls with metal.

Wang Cuiying said that there are many ethnic groups in China, especially the costumes and patterns of ethnic minorities, representing the individuality and culture of their ethnic groups. I hope they can be displayed through my handicrafts.

It is understood that Ms. Wang's works have won awards in many folk handicrafts competition. Recently, Spanish friends set up a set of national dolls. Bobbi, a Xi'an doll with strong national characteristics, began to go abroad.
