Binzhou Farmers Invest $60 Million In Africa, Covering 360 Thousand Acres Of Cotton.

Fan Chuanzhao, 44, is a farmer in Da Fan Village, Huji Town, Huimin County.

10 years ago, he went to Sultan, Africa to run a farm and become a local celebrity.

Today, as the general manager of Sultan (Africa) Huifeng general company, he has landed a large agricultural development project of 360 thousand mu in Sultan, with a total investment of US $60 million and will grow all cotton.

As early as 2002, Fan Chuanzhao opened a farm in the suburbs of Khartoum, capital of Sultan, to provide vegetables for local Chinese.

He nurtured the first mushroom in Sultan, which also attracted officials from the Ministry of agriculture of Sultan to discuss cooperation.

After years of development, Fan Chuanzhao's farm already has hundreds of acres of land and nearly 100 employees, becoming the only farm in Sultan with large cold storage.

Last September, Fan Chuanzhao invited officials from relevant government departments of Sultan to Binzhou.

In April of this year, Fan Chuanzhao bought 170 tons of W8225 insect resistant hybrid cotton from Shandong cotton and cotton Co., Ltd.

It is reported that the cotton seed export hit the country's largest cotton seed export record.

Fan Chuanzhao also bought 10 large sowing machines and 10 large tractors from home for mechanized planting.

In November of this year, Fan Chuanzhao planted 55 thousand mu of cotton and got a bumper harvest, reaching 200 kilograms per mu.

He said that the 55 thousand acres of cotton were mainly seed production. Through scientific measurement, a feasible planting scheme was worked out to accumulate valuable experience for large-scale cotton planting next year.

The implementation of the cotton project in South Kore, raising local farming techniques and helping the needy Sultan brothers is a highlight of China's eight initiatives to aid Africa.

In 2012, the government of South khartoufan will plan 1 million 800 thousand mu of land for cotton cultivation.

Fan Chuanzhao's Huifeng company has become the first foreign investment enterprise for the state government to grow cotton in 2012.

In December 1st, Fan Chuanzhao returned.

Fan Chuanzhao said he hoped more Binzhou enterprises would invest in Sultan.
