Vietnam Becomes The Core Supply Market Of NIKE Group
Nick Athanasakos, the vice president of global procurement and production at Nike, has announced that Vietnam is its core.

According to official statistics of Nike, the group has 40 shoe factories in Vietnam, employing 300 thousand workers, and exporting shoes products (Nike and Converse brands) to 158 million pairs each year.
Vietnam exports 50% of its footwear products from Nike, and the total export volume of "Nike manufacturing" is more than US $200 million per year.
Athanasakos said that labor price advantage is an important reason for Nike to choose Vietnam as the main source of procurement.
He also said that Nike group will strive to increase the proportion of local raw materials procurement in Vietnam, so as to reduce the cost of products.
