Global Cotton Consumption Will Decline In 2012

At the beginning of ICAC1, global cotton consumption in 11/12 decreased by 2% to 23 million 900 thousand tons.

In 11/12, global cotton supply is no longer tight, and the global cotton end inventory and inventory consumption ratio is also on the rise.

The USDA1 monthly report and ICAC's latest report also cut down on China's cotton consumption in 11/12.

According to the survey of textile enterprises in China in January, although the number of cotton stocks in textile enterprises has increased from 33.66 days to 35.67 days in the past, due to the influence of pre stocking factors, there are still 55% of textile enterprises to reduce the amount of cotton.

The cotton price in early years fluctuated greatly, which not only affected the normal consumption of cotton, but also made the ratio of cotton and chemical fiber used in textile and clothing closer, and further reduced the consumption of cotton.
