Russian Textile And Light Industry Will Rely On Government Procurement To Survive

As one of the most influential industries after Russia's accession to the WTO, the development of textile light industry is highly concerned by Russia.

Business representatives from Russia's own clothing market admit that light industry development will be difficult to survive without government procurement.

But industry experts say Russia has committed itself to join the WTO GPA and begin negotiations within 4 years.

Therefore, although the clothing of the relevant government departments is still being completed by Russian domestic production enterprises, with the deepening of the GPA negotiation process, a few years later, the market will also allow foreign companies to participate.
