    At that time, a friend borrowed 300 thousand yuan to give me, and I still had 170 thousand to take the money to make the original capital.


    Reporter: 2008 is just in time to catch up with the financial crisis. Do you have any difficulties?


    Lacquer gentleman: at that time, I was only 30 years old. It was just blood and spirit. The only thing important is not money, but our philosophy and technology.

    I can develop if people can survive.

    But I did encounter difficulties at that time. What I once wanted to give up was not other problems, but money.

    Later, we discussed a few of them. We didn't pay wages and only paid for living expenses, so everyone stayed with me.


    Reporter: what is the industry showing from 2008 to 2011?


    Lacquer gentleman: a word is depressed.

    This year after the Spring Festival, our side (lighter manufacturer) should turn off at least 40%.

    Over the past few years, orders from abroad have been decreasing, even without occasional bounce.

    Maybe because of the loan crisis in Wenzhou, our side (Ningbo) already has a boss. The people I know are already on the run.


    Li Wei: 2011 is indeed unusual.

    I haven't seen such a scene in five or six years. Many enterprises are having a very early holiday. This is the busiest time.

    Reporter: is the impact on the industry very large?


    Lacquer gentleman: Yes, he ran a panic on the way. Now we have to pay cash for raw materials, and people are afraid.

    Li Wei: at present, next year is not just the smoking industry. Many industries are not optimistic. Many people are empty in 2012.

    Lacquer gentleman: I think policy can not save people. Single product can not save any industry. The key lies in the core competitiveness of enterprises and how the boss thinks.

    Real salvation needs continuous development.


    Reporter: the days of manufacturing are so sad.


    Lacquer: when I was chatting with my friends, I used to feel that when I was working, I always wondered if I had a manufacturing company.

    When I really started my business, I found out that they didn't make manufacturing and ran to the real estate.

    Real estate needs money, and I have no money. As a result, they make money and run away. I can't make money in manufacturing industry, and feel that my fate is not enough to catch up with them. I really regret it.


    A friend of mine is lucky and steady.

    In 2010, he bought a piece of land in Linyi, Shandong, built a hotel, invested about thirty million, and now his hotel has increased to eighty million with the land.

    If I could have 30 million, I might have gone to the real estate early.

    But now, I will not, I still honestly do my manufacturing, do a good product out, row is the champion, as long as you put your heart into it, which line can do well.


    Everything has extremes of extremes. I prefer to be a cold horse.

    I still prefer to be unpopular.


    Reporter: what kind of enterprise will break down and what kind of survival can it survive?


    Lacquer Shi: the people who had thrown away either did not do it, or went out to the mainland to develop a cheap labor force.

    Sixty or seventy of the people are doing this, and I want to rely on cheap labor to support it. I will not go.

    I think they are short term behavior and insist on not long.

    In the southeast coast, the wage cost is very high indeed.

    But the whole trade, if the whole manufacturing industry wants to develop for a long time, only by taking the technological route, it must support the surrounding things.

    Logistics, commerce, information, you go to the countryside to do factories, I think it is better to grow potatoes.


    There are two kinds of people who will not close their doors. The first group of people used to earn money, but they could not afford to face them. Now they are losing millions of dollars.

    There is also a lot of money owed to banks, and less money in industry, but those who do not want to go abroad will do so.


    The rest is our kind of people, talking about R & D, how to improve your technology content and make high-end products.

    Chinese people can not afford to spend, but China's (Manufacturing) can not keep up with foreign countries.

    Foreign Audi and Mercedes Benz come to China to earn money better. Why can't China earn money? Chinese people are not smart enough.


    Li Wei: This is actually a good thing for us.

    I feel that if we have the strength to survive, it will be an opportunity for us to expand our market share and survive in adversity.


    Reporter: China's lighter manufacturing industry, the impression is not foreign trade, do OEM OEM?


    Lacquer: Chinese enterprises have always been cheap and labor force.

    There is no scientific and technological content.

    The world's top three lighters, the first is France BIC, the second is the Swedish Match Factory, the third is the East China Sea Ping.

    The Chinese made lighters 1 yuan each, and did this for 20 years.

    With the rapid development of the economy to the present day, they are still making a lighter of 1 yuan. Now that manpower is so tense, the factories in our industry can not afford to pay usury, run on the road, and go bankrupt.


    BIC, a European faction lighter, is sold to China. Their quality and design concept are quite good. First, China is 5 yuan, 8 yuan, and 10 yuan.

    The Chinese have bought but not many, because it follows the design concept of Optima which is quite different from Chinese culture.

    I caught the difference and began to investigate what route I started in 2008.

    In 2011, my goods were in short supply. Everyone was promoting in Alibaba (micro-blog). I didn't need it. My goods were too busy to produce. Where did I have the energy to promote? And my product sold for 5 yuan in the market, 10 times more expensive than the ordinary lighter.

    With my profits, no matter how much inflation, my price will remain the same, because my profit is there.


    Li Wei: we can not change this impression at all, but we only rely on our products.

    If we can win the market, the product is the most convincing. Only by promoting, without real products, can enterprises not survive for a long time.

    And what we have always said is to go.

    Reporter: how can we improve the technology content in such a small and simple structure of lighter?


    Lacquer ware: there was no design on the lighter surface before, but later someone made some stickers on the surface.

    My 1 million profit and the added value are equivalent to 10 million of them. In the past 1000 months, they needed a lot of labor and cheap labor to complete this 10 million. Now there are not so many people to use it for him, and now there is no way to bear the wages of factory workers.

    I needed 600 or 800 people before, and now I only need 40 people to complete 10 million of their output value a month.


    The traditional lighter is made, and generally the gross profit is 10%.

    Net profit is as low as 5% or 6%.

    If they calculate their profits by 5%, they earn 3 cents for a lighter and earn 300 thousand yuan for 10 million lighters.

    I now make 1 million profits a month, a lighter 5 cents, and a total profit of 500 thousand.


    I am a small factory, a typical small business, but I have 6 designers and engineers.

    The quality of my project exceeds that of the listed company.

    My labor cost is a little higher, because I sell the sales volume to the designer, the most person can get about 600000 yuan a year, but I can rely on these 40 people to complete the output value of their 800 workers before.


    Those who rely on cheap products to do the job, the boss can imitate me, but can not imitate my head, can not copy my train of thought.

    This is my core competitiveness.
