Knitting Fashion Show Held In Hongkong

In 2011, the fashion show of knitting was reacted greatly in the industry.

The event attracted more than 1500 participants (including knitwear manufacturers, buyers, designers, suppliers and media).

Knitting fashion show has become the largest knitting industry in the world.

The fashion show includes two parts: the Hongkong youth designers competition and the local famous designer fashion show.

The competition aims to provide a platform for local young designers to stimulate their creativity and sense of originality.

The competition was very intense. 10 athletes were selected from the 100 applicants to participate in the finals. Most of the candidates were all full-time youth knitting designers.

In 2012, the winners of the Wool Fashion Award will be sent to Australia. The tour includes a visit to the whole wool production chain to understand the growth characteristics of all kinds of Australian wool.

Alex Lai, general manager of Hongkong International Wool Bureau, said: "the level of future designers in Hongkong will be unprecedented. Supporting these designers is a very important part of the global strategy."

The outstanding wool design award is a recognition of their works and provides an opportunity for the international wool bureau to establish long-term cooperation.

Hongkong wool knitting innovation and Design Association (KIDS) was founded in January 2008. It is a non-profit organization. It works together to build a resource rich cooperation platform to promote the sustainable development of the knitting industry.

Its mission is to connect vertical and horizontal business partners between Hongkong and other countries in knitting industry, and to help Hongkong establish and maintain the world's first sweater sourcing center.

In January, KIDS successfully held the fashion show in Hongkong Convention and Exhibition Center (HKCEC).

The event also invited Hongkong's top knitting fashion designers to show their latest works.

The exhibition not only shows the ability of Hongkong's knitting industry, but also indicates that Hongkong has jumped into the world's largest purchasing, production, purchase and design center in the global knitting market.
