International Market Barriers All Over Dongguan Are Not "Stage Fright"
Yesterday, reporters obtained statistics from customs, although the barriers in international market in 2007 were vertical and horizontal, but "made in Dongguan" was not "stage fright", and the export value of Dongguan's main export products such as furniture, shoes and toys kept rising.
But the decline in the number of shoes exports has become a warning signal of "made in Dongguan".
The number of shoes exports dropped by unit price. According to statistics from Whampoa customs office in Changan, Dongguan's important export products in 2007 have not been pushed back by successive trade frictions.
Furniture, shoes, toys and other export prices have increased, and basically accounted for the entire province of Guangdong 1/4, or even close to 1/3., the total price increase is partly the result of the increase in quantity, but there have been a decrease in the number and unit price increase.
Last year, Dongguan exported 600 million pairs of shoes, nearly 70% sold to the United States, but the number was less than 2.4%. in 2006. The same situation happened in Hongkong. Last year it dropped by 13.8%. compared with 2006. Customs officials called this phenomenon "structural adjustment". The increase in unit price confirmed the increase of the added value of the product.
Politicians are also calling on the footwear industry in Dongguan to raise export prices in order to reduce the pressure on the sharp rise in domestic labor costs.
Processing trade still accounts for an absolute proportion. According to customs statistics, shoes and processing trade in Dongguan account for 98.3% of the total volume, while toy products, the Customs said, "almost all processed trade means".
Surprisingly, general trade has slipped.
A shoe industry analysis, in fact, the level of shoes processed in Dongguan is very high, and the general trade of independent brand shoes on the quality but not catch up with the processing of shoes.
Dongguan's processing trade products, which are under the wings of Europe and the United States, appear to be more stable in the short term.
The market goes to the adult toy market to be developed, aiming at the lack of independent consciousness of Dongguan enterprises.
"At present, more than half of the toy markets in developed countries such as Europe and the United States are occupied by adult toys and high-tech electric toys.
But Dongguan is still mainly exporting stuffed toys and low-end electric toys, and is out of tune with the demand of the international toy market.
Customs officials believe that the product structure of Dongguan's toy industry has been seriously out of touch with the needs of the international market.
According to the press, there are already some enterprises in Dongguan that have long worked for foreign workers to pay attention to this trend and apply to their own brand products.
Members of the board of directors of Zhangmutou Hongkong toy factory in Dongguan showed a group of "office toys" to reporters. "For example, the battery is actually attached to a camera. Your colleagues will come to work. You can see from the computer that you can use the mouse to control the muzzle and fire at him."
He said that this kind of toy which makes the office atmosphere funny is already an important type of their own products.
