    Filament Weaving IndustryDevelopment GuidanceIndustrial Policy

    Preface

The weaving industry of filament yarns refers to the weaving, producing, researching and matching related industries with chemical filament as the main raw material. It is also a new industry in China's textile industry, and is also one of the industries with the most market vitality and technological vitality.

Its products are widely used in many fields, such as clothing, decoration and industrial applications, with wide application and great market potential.

Filament weaving industry started late, but it has developed rapidly in the past 20 years. It has become one of the fastest growing pillar industries in China's textile industry. It plays an irreplaceable role in promoting the development of spinning technology, weaving technology and printing and finishing technology, and in developing high-performance multi-functional textiles.

"12th Five-Year" is a critical period for China's textile industry to grow from strength to strength. To promote the implementation of the Twelfth Five Year Plan for national economic and social development, the plan for industrial pformation and upgrading, and the "12th Five-Year" development plan of the textile industry, we will promote the development of the textile industry.

    Filament weaving industry

The structural adjustment and pformation and upgrading have led to the healthy and sustainable development of the filament weaving industry. The Chinese filament weaving association has organized and formulated the "12th Five-Year" of the filament weaving industry after fully listening to the opinions of more than 30 experts and scholars from various parts of the country, the leaders of relevant associations, and the institutions of higher learning such as Donghua University, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and Soochow University.

    Development guidance

    "

The development guidance is a guiding document for the development of China's chemical fiber filament weaving industry in the next five years. It is an important basis for the relevant government departments and industrial clusters at all levels to formulate industrial policies and related enterprises' pformation and upgrading and management decisions.

Review of the development of China's filament weaving industry

China's filament weaving industry originates from the silk industry with strong national characteristics. Because it omits the complicated and lengthy spinning process, it has the characteristics of short technological process. At the same time, its raw material is obtained by chemical processing, and its properties can be changed by different chemical methods during processing.

With the development and extensive application of chemical fiber materials, China's chemical fiber filament weaving industry has been developing rapidly from scratch to small to large, and the application scope of fabrics has been expanding, and the variety has been increasing.

Especially in the past ten years, it has been developing rapidly. Output and export volume have increased 4 times. The output has increased from about 4000000000 meters in 2000 to nearly 30 billion meters in 2010, with an average annual increase of more than 20%. The export also increased from 1 billion 577 million meters in 2000 to 7 billion 696 million meters in 2010, with an average annual increase of more than 17%. Compared with other textile products, the average annual increase of 3% percent is that the chemical fiber filament fabric is one of the fastest growing industries in the textile industry.

With the expansion of volume, the industrial technology level, equipment level and product level have also been improved accordingly, forming a batch of distinctive silk fabric industrial cluster bases.

The filament fabric industry has become one of the most dynamic industries in China's textile industry. It has made great contributions to meet people's growing demand, beautify people's lives and enrich industrial textiles.

In the background of the impact of the international financial crisis, China's silk weaving industry has encountered some difficulties, but it is also the best time to adjust the industrial structure and enhance the competitiveness of the industry.

    industrial policy

Under the guidance of the industry development has gone out of the trough.

Under such circumstances, it is of great significance to carefully study and analyze the achievements and problems in the development of filament industry, and to make further plans for further development, which will promote the healthy development of China's filament weaving industry.

Table 1 production of chemical fiber and chemical fiber cloth in Enterprises above Designated Size in 2000~2010

    (1) the status and main achievements of chemical fiber filament weaving industry

    1. the production capacity of filament weaving is increasing rapidly, and exports are increasing year by year.

After years of rapid development, China's chemical fiber filament weaving industry has formed a complete industrial chain of Conghua's fiber spinning, weaving, finishing and clothing industry.

The chemical fiber filament weaving industry plays an important role in China's textile industry, especially the weaving industry. In the economic census of 2008, the statistics of more than 1200 enterprises above Designated Size in the main provinces of chemical fiber weaving in China showed that its total output reached 15 billion 800 million meters. According to incomplete statistics, China's total silk weaving output of the whole society has now exceeded 30 billion meters, and the chemical fiber filament fabric industry is the second largest woven fabric industry next to the cotton textile fabric.

In the past 10 years, with the continuous development of China's chemical fiber industry, the filament weaving industry has been developing rapidly, and the output and scale have been expanding.

In 2000~2010, the output of chemical fiber and chemical fiber cloth in China's Enterprises above designated size is shown in Table 1.

With the rapid growth of chemical fiber production in China, the output of chemical fiber fabrics has increased considerably.

It can be seen from table 1 that the output of chemical filament yarn has increased 5 times in 10 years.

With the continuous improvement of industrial technology level, China's chemical fiber filament weaving industry has made considerable progress in the export of chemical filament fabrics while meeting domestic consumption demand.

The import and export status of China's filament fabrics in 2000~2010 is shown in Table 2.

    {page_break}

As can be seen from table 2, the import volume of China's filament fabrics has been decreasing year by year, and the export volume has been increasing. The ability of filament fabrics to replace imports has been increasing year by year.

In 2000, the export of silk fabrics was 1 billion 577 million meters, the total export volume of textile fabrics was 8 billion 490 million meters, and the proportion of filament fabrics was 18.58%. In 2005, the export of silk fabrics was 6 billion 181 million meters, the total export volume of textile fabrics was 16 billion 561 million meters, the proportion of filament fabrics increased to 37.32%, 2010 silk fabrics were exported 7 billion 696 million meters, the total export volume of textile fabrics was 21 billion 156 million meters, and the proportion of filament fabrics was 36.38%. With the rapid development of China's filament fabrics, the proportion of China's filament fabrics in the global textile industry has been greatly improved.

    2. the product variety is increasing and the product structure is becoming more and more reasonable.

Although the chemical fiber filament weaving industry started late in China, its development is fast. The variety of filament fabrics is changing rapidly. New products are emerging one after another, and the application areas are constantly expanding, and the product structure is becoming more and more reasonable.

In the aspect of clothing, there are imitation fabrics like silk, imitation wool, Imitation cotton and Imitation cotton, but also have their own characteristic products and functional products (such as lining cloth, shading cloth, memory cloth, suede, peach skin, down proof cloth, etc.). Besides taking, they can also be widely used in home textiles, car decoration, military products and other industrial uses, such as fabrics used for making awning cloth, bulletproof vest, parachute and military uniform. At present, most curtain cloth and tent cloth are made of filament fabric.

The changeable characteristics of filament fabrics meet different needs of people and play an increasingly important role in the textile industry.

The 3. industry cluster has obvious advantages and technological progress is constantly improving.

The two provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang both have large scale chemical fiber spinning, filament weaving and dyeing and finishing capacity of silk fabrics. The similar industries are relatively centralized and the overall advantages are obvious.

From the perspective of regional distribution of filament industry, the industrial cluster area of chemical fiber filament weaving was formed in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Fujian.

According to incomplete statistics, in 2010, the total output of filament fabrics in the four weaving areas of two provinces in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces totaled about 20000000000 meters, including 11 billion meters in Wujiang, 4 billion 500 million meters in Changxing County, 5 billion meters in Jiaxing Xiuzhou area and 800 million meters in Shaoxing county. In addition, Longhu town in Fujian is also the main production base for filament fabrics.

In terms of weaving equipment, since the end of the last century, China's silk weaving cluster area has begun upgrading equipment, phased out a large number of shuttle looms, shuttleless loom ratio has been continuously improved, and technical equipment has been effectively upgraded.

It can be seen from the situation of shuttling free rate in all parts that table 3 shows that the shuttling rate of weaving equipment in China's main filament weaving areas is over 90% at present.

With the advantages of industrial clusters, the industrial clusters in various regions have made considerable progress in the market construction. Shaoxing's China Light Textile City, Shengze's Eastern Silk Market, Wang Jiangjing's southern textile city and Changxin excipient city have played a more important role in promoting the development of the filament weaving industry.

Table 2 import and export of chemical fiber filament fabrics in China

(two) main problems existing in filament weaving industry

1., independent innovation needs to be improved.

On the other hand, there are more serious low-level and vicious competition phenomena. In spite of the high shuttling rate of weaving equipment, the lack of weaving ability such as dobby, jacquard, and complex organizational structure has led to a relatively large gap in the level of such technology and equipment, resulting in a large gap between similar products in terms of quality grades and varieties and so on. In terms of product development and brand building, China's silk weaving enterprises are mostly developed from small private enterprises, with insufficient emphasis on brand training, low proportion of their own brands and no market influence, resulting in a relatively large proportion of low-end products, low value-added products, low profit margins and weak profitability. In the past period of time, the homogenization and low level rapid expansion of chemical fiber filament weaving industry in China has caused a certain degree of resource shortage and a great extent.

The final products such as clothing, home textiles and decorative fabrics are relatively weak in R & D and design, especially the original design. The R & D investment is relatively small, which restricts the further development of the product and the quality and grade.

    2. lack of standardization and guidance of industry standards.

Despite the rapid development of China's chemical fiber filament weaving industry in the past twenty years, there is no national industry organization to coordinate and manage the industry, resulting in a relatively lagging behind in the standard setting work. The corresponding industry standards are relatively lacking. In particular, the lack of essential standards such as product classification standards, product quality standards, energy saving and emission reduction cleaner production standards, energy measurement standards, water intake quota standards, processing trade consumption standards, vocational skills standards and equipment operation and production process standards seriously affect the healthy and sustainable development of the filament weaving industry.

Table 3 the shuttling rate of loom looms in China's main filament weaving area

    3. industry statistics is not perfect

As the pillar industry of the textile industry, in addition to the statistics of the import and export of filament fabrics in the customs statistics, there is no statistics on the products of this industry in the National Bureau of statistics, the lack of the economic index data of this industry, and the serious shortage of statistical information in the industry.

The relevant authorities of the state, the local government or the related enterprises and institutions in the industry lack the guidance of the relevant authoritative statistical information of this industry.

    4. resources and environmental pressure restrict the development of industry

China's filament weaving industry is mainly concentrated in the eastern coastal areas, where the land and electricity, gas and other energy supply are increasingly tense, to a certain extent, restricts the development of the industry.

In addition, the loom is the main weaving equipment in the weaving industry.

As the weaving process requires a certain amount of oil to be used in the process of silk sizing and chemical fiber spinning, weft flow is mixed with slurry and oil mixture to produce certain sewage during the weaving process of the water jet loom. The increasingly severe environmental pressure has also restricted the development of the filament weaving industry.

    {page_break}

Two. Comparison of competitiveness of China's filament weaving industry

    (1) analysis of foreign competitors

Judging from the import statistics of China's customs, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Hongkong and Thailand are the main import areas of chemical fiber filament fabrics in China. The chemical fiber industry in these areas is advanced in technology, abundant in products and stable in quality, and Hongkong is mainly entrepot trade.

There is a big gap between the price of domestic chemical filament fabrics and foreign products.

Taiwan, Japan and South Korea have great advantages in the weaving technology of chemical fiber, especially in the aspect of new product development, such as color, style and fashion trend.

(two) advantages of China's filament weaving industry

The advantages of China's filament weaving industry are mainly manifested in the following aspects: large scale, complete industrial chain and low cost.

1., the industrial chain has a high degree of integrity.

After years of rapid development, China's filament weaving industry has developed into a complete industrial chain involving spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing, clothing and home textiles, and has a high degree of industrial agglomeration. It mainly distributes in Shengze, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Changxin, Wang Jiangjing, Shaoxing, Fujian Longhu, Hongshan and other regions, and has strong advantages in raw material supply, equipment matching, market and logistics.

    2. lower manufacturing cost.

In recent years, the cost of raw materials, labor, land and energy has led to a significant increase in the production cost of China's filament weaving enterprises.

However, compared with the total production cost, China's filament weaving enterprises still have comparative advantages.

    3. the market is relatively mature.

China's filament weaving industry started after reform and opening up. Compared with other traditional textile industries, it was less affected by the planned economy and accepted relatively fast in the market economy.

China's filament fabric market has been established earlier, and has grown with the rapid development of the industry. The trading market has been relatively mature.

The formation of the market and the development of the industry complement each other. At present, the main raw materials such as Zhejiang Shaoxing Keqiao Light Textile City, Jiangsu Wujiang Shengze Oriental Silk Market and Zhejiang Jiaxing Jingjiang Jingnan textile market are formed.

Through the market window, the new technology, new products and related industry information of filament weaving are gathered here, forming the advantage of integration of production, supply and marketing, and greatly promoting the development of filament weaving industry.

(three) disadvantages of China's filament weaving industry

Despite its rapid development in recent years, the filament weaving industry has certain advantages in international competition, but there are also shortcomings, leading to a big gap between product prices and foreign products.

    1. lack of research on color and fashion trends

Although China's filament weaving enterprises have enhanced their research ability in product color and fashion trend in recent years, the research system of the silk weaving industry is weak and the industry trend has not been established. The research on the current trend is dominated by the achievements of Korea, Japan and Taiwan.

    2. product innovation and development capability is not strong.

Another disadvantage of China's filament weaving industry in terms of competitiveness is the lack of independent innovation capability, the lack of advanced equipment technology and high-quality technical personnel, which are the main factors that affect the development and innovation ability of Chinese filament products.

In addition, the importance of R & D and the lack of capital investment have greatly weakened the core competitiveness of China's filament weaving industry.

    3. weak sense of brand cultivation

Although China's filament weaving industry is of large scale and complete industrial chain, it lacks famous brands, especially internationally renowned brands.

For a long time, China's filament weaving industry is mainly based on processing and producing textile fabric intermediate products for foreign merchants. The enterprises do not know enough about their own brand cultivation, so it is difficult to form their own brands, which greatly affects the international competitiveness of China's filament weaving industry.

4., the application area of products is not enough.

China's filament products are still mainly used in clothing and decorative fabrics, and the proportion of industrial textiles in the field of application is still low.

Due to its short technological process and small damage to fibers, the demand for filament products, especially for industrial filament products and high performance filament products, is increasing in the field of industrial textiles.

At present, there are very few enterprises that can carry out R & D in specialized fields, and the application areas of products need to be further developed.

    {page_break}

Three, the development trend of China's filament weaving industry

    (1) favorable factors

With the promulgation and implementation of relevant policies to promote domestic demand, and the continuous improvement of per capita income and per capita consumption, China's per capita textile consumption still has great room for development.

At the same time, the total scale of the national economy and the expansion of other industries will also enrich the demand for industrial textiles.

With the progress of science and technology, the varieties of chemical fibers are more diversified, and the product structure is more abundant, and its application scope is more extensive.

The recycling technology of waste chemical fiber fabrics is becoming more and more perfect, and it also provides new materials for filament industry.

Therefore, in the future development of the textile industry, especially in the "12th Five-Year" and "13th Five-Year" period, the chemical fiber filament weaving industry is the most potential industry.

With the limited growth of natural fiber production, the filament weaving industry with chemical filament fiber as the main raw material will have great prospects for development.

Chemical fiber filament weaving industry has obvious advantages in technology, short technological process, low production cost, low requirement for temperature and humidity in weaving workshop, low input of weaving equipment at one time, low cost in raw material cost, and price advantage in traditional natural fiber weaving. China has formed large-scale chemical fiber production industry, raw material supply is stable, chemical fiber filament weaving fabric has varied products and wide application range, and the development of differential and high simulation products has become increasingly prominent for natural fiber fabrics.

In addition, in the industrial development planning of the textile industry, the growth of related industries such as chemical fiber, home textiles, clothing and industrial textiles and the requirements for high value-added products will promote the development of the filament weaving industry to a certain extent.

    (two) unfavorable factors

    1. RMB appreciation accelerated

The continuous appreciation of the RMB not only creates a squeeze on the profit margins of enterprises, but also exacerbates the risk of overseas orders for export enterprises, and has a serious impact on the export processing enterprises of silk weaving. Moreover, the renminbi has a trend of accelerated appreciation.

    2. increases in labor and land costs and raw material price volatility.

Because the labor intensity of the textile industry is large and the working environment is poor, young generation workers represented by the "post-80s" do not want to engage in the textile industry, resulting in labor shortage and labor costs rising.

In Wujiang, Shaoxing and other regions, 8 hours Weaver wages have exceeded 4500 yuan / month, much higher than other parts of the country.

In addition, the mobility of employees has led to the difficulty of enterprise management and quality control, which has affected the normal production of enterprises.

Due to the increase of restrictions on land use, land shortage has become a serious problem in some areas, especially in the silk weaving industry cluster area, which has led to soaring land prices and rapid increase in land costs, which greatly restricts the development of filament weaving industry.

In addition, the increase of water, electricity, coal, pportation and raw materials is another major factor to increase the cost of enterprises. The continuous increase of costs can not be pmitted to the downstream simultaneously, making the production pressure of filament weaving enterprises increased, and further squeezing the profit margins of enterprises.

In recent years, with the sharp fluctuations of international commodity prices, the price of raw materials such as cotton and PTA has risen dramatically. The prices of all kinds of chemical filament yarns are still relatively high in history, which not only increases the cost of filament weaving enterprises, but also seriously affects the normal production and sales of filament weaving enterprises.

Influenced by the international market and speculation in the market, the price of raw silk has fluctuated greatly. The instability of filament prices has led to the fact that silk weaving enterprises are afraid to receive large orders and long lists when they export.

In addition, a large number of new spinning and weaving production capacity is expected to be released from 2012 to 2013. If the consumer market does not expand synchronously, the vicious competition of the industry will intensify, which will bring huge impact on the raw material prices and downstream weaving industry, resulting in market volatility.

    3. environmental and energy factors restrict the development speed of enterprises.

Due to the needs of production technology and production cost, more than 70% of chemical fiber filament weaving industry is weaving with water jet looms.

In the spinning process of chemical filament yarn and in order to meet the needs of weaving process, the factory basically adds a certain amount of oil in the preparation process before spinning and weaving, plus the slurry and coloring agent in weaving process. In the process of weft weft weaving, the mixture of water flow and oil, slurry and coloring agent will form pollutants, which will cause some pollution to the environment. The problem of sewage treatment also restricts the development of the industry to a certain extent.

Under the influence of national policies of energy conservation and emission reduction, in order to achieve the targets of energy conservation, all regions adopt coercive measures to restrict the power consumption of enterprises, especially in developed areas such as Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and adopt different treatment measures for different power consuming industries. Silk weaving production enterprises are first included in the power limiting industry, and related enterprises have to stop working at a stage, which seriously affects the normal operation of enterprises, and makes the operation cost of enterprises rise, and the business efficiency of enterprises decline, which has brought a great impact on the overall development of the filament weaving industry.

    {page_break}

(three) development trend of filament weaving industry

    1. product development

The development of filament weaving industry, in terms of raw materials, chemical fiber filament tends to be new, environmental protection, high performance, versatility and diversification. In the aspect of clothing materials, along with the increasing importance of the international market for environment-friendly textiles, filament fabrics will tend to natural, ecological and environmental protection. The development of chemical filament simulation and high simulation fabrics is the focus of future development; in the aspect of decorative fabrics, multi-function is the focus of development; in terms of industrial textiles, high performance and multi-purpose are important trends in development.

    2. technology and equipment

Although China's filament weaving industry is large in scale, the proportion of high-end textile equipment in the overall technology and equipment of the industry is relatively low.

Due to the limited level of weaving equipment, the product grade is not high, and the proportion of high-end products such as jacquard and dyed fabrics is very small. Therefore, the industry should change the growth mode as soon as possible, and promote the improvement of product quality and productivity with the improvement of equipment level, so as to enhance the contribution rate of technology and enhance the competitiveness of the industry.

    3. industry pfer

Due to the historical reasons for the development of filament weaving industry, China's filament weaving industry is mostly concentrated in the eastern coastal areas. Most of the related industries such as chemical fiber production, printing and dyeing, post-processing and trading market are also located in these areas, forming a certain comparative advantage of industrial clusters.

However, with the rapid economic development in eastern China, the supply of resources such as energy, labor and land is becoming more and more intense, especially the supply of land resources has been greatly restricted, resulting in certain constraints on the development of the filament weaving industry in the eastern coastal areas.

Due to the discharge of water from loom looms, the silk weaving industry has been included in the restricted development industry in some areas.

On the basis of the trend of industrial pfer in China's textile industry and regional resources, land resources and human resources, China's filament weaving industry in the next stage of development, in addition to efforts to tap local resources, speed up industrial upgrading, and vigorously promote the application of water reuse technology and maintain stable development, the weaving area of long silk weaving will expand the development space by gradually pferring cost dependent fabric production capacity to the central and western regions under the premise of ensuring green environmental protection and cleaner production.

Four. Guiding ideology, main objectives and tasks for the development of China's filament weaving industry during the "12th Five-Year" period.

    (1) guiding ideology

Guided by Deng Xiaoping theory and the important thought of "Three Represents", we should thoroughly implement the Scientific Outlook on Development, speed up the pformation of development mode, adapt to the new changes in the domestic and international situation, adhere to the requirements of the Twelfth Five Year Plan for national economic and social development, adhere to the main direction of structural optimization and industrial upgrading, take independent innovation and brand building as an important support, take the prosperity of the market and expand domestic demand as the fundamental starting point, take resource saving, environmental friendliness and sustainable development as the important starting point, and take the deep integration of informatization and industrialization as the starting point, and build the filament weaving industry into a modern textile industry with advanced technology, leading fashion and absorbing employability, and play a greater role in building a strong textile industrial country.
