The co chairmen include Kerry Mulligan (Carey Mulligan), Miuccia Prada (Miuccia Prada) and Anna win (Anna Wintour); Baz Luhrmann (Baz Luhrmann) will be the creative Consultant of the exhibition, and Nathan (Nathan) is the production designer.

    Exhibition date: May 10, 2012 - August 19th

Venue: special exhibition hall on the first floor.

    Media Preview: Monday, May 7th, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The theme of the 2012 spring exhibition of the Metropolitan Museum of Art Fashion Institute will be Elsa Xia perreli and Miuccia Prada: Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada: Impossible Conversations.

The exhibition, which is open from May 10, 2012 to August 19th and will be held in May 7th, will explore the striking similarities between the two designers from different times in Italy.

Inspired by Miguel Covarrubias's "impossible interview" in 1930s Vanity Fair magazine, curator Harold Koda (Harold Koda) and Andrew Bolton (Andrew Bolton) will create a fictional dialogue between the two idols of Miguel, inspiring people to make a new interpretation of their most innovative works.

This exhibition is mainly sponsored by Amazon.

Kangtai Cond (Nast) provides additional support.

Thomas P. Campbell, curator and chief executive of Metropolitan Museum of Art, said: "in view of the role played by surrealism and other art movements in the design of Thomas and P, it seems that only in this area can Metropolitan Museum of Art explore the creative works of Thomas.

The cooperation between Daly and Dal (Cocteau) and Prada Prada (Prada Prada) has promoted the increasingly close relationship between art and fashion through a direct, synergistic and redefined relationship in culture. "

To celebrate the opening of this exhibition, the Benefit of the Museum of fashion show will be held on May 7, 2012 (Monday).

Geoff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon.com, will serve as honorary chairman.

The co chairmen include actress Kerry Mulligan, designer Miuccia Prada, and Anna Warren, editor in chief of Vogue magazine.

This fundraising event is the main source of annual funding for exhibitions, acquisitions and capital improvements by the Fashion Institute.

The exhibition is conducted by Curator in charge (Harold in) and Harold Koda.

    About this exhibition

Harold Koda said, "showing the works of Elsa Xia paralili and mijua Prada together enables us to explore how the past inspired the present and how we can revitalize the past."

Andrew Bolton, Dean of Fashion Institute, added: "the link between history and modernity highlights the similarities and differences between these great women. The two of them constantly subvert the concept of taste, beauty and charm of their age."

The exhibition will be held in the special exhibition hall on the first floor of the Metropolitan Museum. It will display about 1890-1973 years of Elsa Xia Barre (from the end of 1920s to the beginning of 1950s) and about 90 pieces of design and 30 accessories from the late 1980s to the end of 1920s.

The iconic objects of the two designers are mainly from the collections of the Fashion Institute and the archives of Prada, as well as other institutions and private collections. These exhibits will be arranged in 7 thematic exhibition halls. The first theme is "Waist Up/Waist Down", which will show Xia Parui's use of decorative details and Prada's attention to "below waist line" in design.

In the heyday of the 1930s CAF society, she used decorative details to cope with Restaurant costumes, while Prada designed the "waist line" design as a symbolic expression of modern style and femininity.

In addition, the exhibition hall also has a small ornament plate called "Neck Up/Knees Down", which will display the design of the hat and the shoes of Prada.

The theme exhibition hall of "Ugly Chic" will explore how the two outstanding women designers "frolic" with good taste and bad taste through elements such as color, printing and textiles, thus subverting people's cognition of beauty and charm.

The theme exhibition hall of "Hard Chic" will explore the influence of uniforms and men's clothing on promoting the development of some minimalist design aesthetics. This design aesthetics aims at denying and strengthening feminization characteristics simultaneously.

The "Naif Chic" thematic exhibition hall will showcase the adoption of some maiden sentiment by HP and Prada, which subverts people's expectations of clothes that are consistent with age.

The theme of the "The Classical Body" exhibition hall also includes the theme of "The Pagan Body". Through the examination of the late eighteenth Century and early nineteenth Century, we explored the interaction and relationship between the two designers and the past era.

"The Exotic Body" will explore the influence of eastern culture through certain fabrics (such as gold and silver thread Lam) and Edition (such as sari and shakai).

The last theme exhibition hall, "The Surreal Body" will show how the two female designers passed.

    Surrealism

Practices affect the modern image of female curves, such as displacement, ingenious proportions, blurred reality and fantasy, and natural and artificial boundaries.

Ms. Schaparelli began working in Paris from 1920s until 1954 when her studio closed and had a close relationship with the Surrealist movement, creating symbolic designs such as torn dress, shoe shaped cap and insect necklace.

Ms. Prada, who holds a doctorate in political science, took over her family business in Milan in 1978, and focused on the fashion that reflected the compromise of post-modernism.

Along with the exhibition is a Book jointly written by Andrew Bolton and Harold coda, which will be recommended by Judith Thurman (S Thurman Thurman), published by Yale University press.
