Taiwan's 3 Shoe Enterprises Are Now Investing In Indonesia

Anton J. Supit, chairman of the Indonesian Footwear Association (APRISINDO), said that three shoe factories in China had invested in Indonesia, with a total investment of US $25 million, employing about 3000 workers.

Our investment in Indonesia reached US $469 million 700 thousand in 2007.

S president also said Indonesia's Pei Hai InternationalWiratama company also plans to increase the amount of 14 million US dollars to raise production to 24 thousand pairs and employ 1800 workers.

Canal said that the current investment in Taiwan and China is not large, with a monthly layoff of 10%. Therefore, investment enterprises in Taiwan and China are interested in competitive regions.

According to the information from the Indonesian investment Coordination Committee (BKPM), the implementation rate of shoe factories in 2007 is very low, and there are 3 Taiwan enterprises investing in the Jabodetabek area, namely, Ching Luh, Shyang Yao Fung and Wei Siang. It is estimated that this year shoe industry investment will increase rapidly with the investment from Taiwan businessmen.
