Vice mayor Tong Xiaoping introduced at the meeting, according to the plan, our city will introduce the "guiding opinions on further accelerating the development of textile and garment industry", and strive to 2015 textile and clothing sales revenue of more than 135 billion yuan, forming hundreds of billions of textile industrial clusters.

Striving to cultivate 10 textile enterprises with annual sales revenue exceeding 1 billion yuan in 3 years and 100 textile enterprises with annual sales revenue exceeding 100 million yuan, create 3 to 5 well-known trademarks, and cultivate 3 or 5 textile listed enterprises and state-level enterprise technology centers.

Tong Xiaoping said that in recent years, the textile industry of our city has built up a complete textile and garment processing system, including cotton spinning, linen spinning, printing and dyeing, knitting and men's wear, women's wear and children's clothing. It has formed five major regional development patterns of Hechuan textile and clothing, Wanzhou high tech textile, Southeast Chongqing characteristic textile, Yubei famous clothing, Fuling and longevity Chemical fiber textile.

At present, our city has built the largest scale and competitive production base for women's garments and down garments in the western region. We are speeding up the construction of the western textile and clothing science and technology creative base represented by Jiangjin, and the Western light textile clothing city represented by Banan.

As of last year, the city's textile industry achieved sales revenue of 45 billion 200 million yuan, ranking eighteenth in the country, third in the western region, and the annual growth rate of industrial output was above 25%.
