Last month, the Zhejiang provincial industry and Commerce Bureau released a quality inspection report on the sampling of imported garments sold on the three markets in Hangzhou, Ningbo and Wenzhou.

The report shows that the sampling inspection imported 34 batches of Korean clothing, of which 17 were not qualified, the pass rate was only 50%, and some brands of clothing were even detected carcinogens, exceeding the national standard allowable range of nearly 30 times.

According to the introduction, the products in Zhejiang's industry and Commerce Bureau are mostly well-known local brands in South Korea, and some of them are "famous". If the washing is not in place, the alkali substance will remain and cause the pH value to be high.

"If the pH value is too high, it will have adverse effects on the delicate skin and the skin of adults, such as scratching and scratching in summer, leaving a wound that is too high for pH."

She suggested that consumers should first wash and wear clothes after buying them, especially for personal clothing and children's clothing, so that the pH value can be improved.

Formaldehyde is also a common phenomenon in the problem of clothing. In the past many regulatory checks, it was found that some of the batches of formaldehyde products exceeded the standard.

Experts of Guangzhou fiber products testing institute point out that if the manufacturer uses the low cost formaldehyde finishing agent or injection agent in the fabric finishing process, the formaldehyde content will exceed the standard.

The implementation of this new national standard has also made China's standards and decrees further in line with international standards.

For example, the range of infant clothing is extended from 24 months to 36 months, and all of these garments have to carry out class a standards. Class a standards are more stringent in terms of formaldehyde, pH value and color fastness, so as to protect infants' health.

Guangdong clothing and apparel industry association president Zhang believes that the supervision of clothing quality should not be aimed at production enterprises only, but if there are good links in every aspect of the industrial chain, there will be high quality products.

He further explained that the quality inspection department's textile inspection is mainly based on product clothing and so on, and did not check the fabric, but the actual situation is that the supplier deceived the buyer, and the upstream fabric of the textile is not qualified.

And it is impossible for enterprises to inspect every batch of incoming goods, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises.
