American Clothing Brand J Brand Carries On IPO

The famous clothing giant in America.

J Brand has hired Morgan Stanley to help explore strategic options, including the sale or initial public offering.

One of the sources said the J Brand, based in Losangeles, has launched project proposals in the past two to three weeks, and will soon take the first round of bidding.

Morgan Stanley and J Brand declined to comment.

According to sources, potential bidders of J Brand may include corporate buyers such as Jones & amp; Group Inc, Hongkong based Li & Fung Ltd, Jones Co. Inc, clothing and non durable goods distributors, Kellwood Co. (KWD), clothing production and chain store operators, and the United States.

In addition, Private Equity Firm such as Catterton Partners, T A Associates and Leonard Green Partners, which are concerned about retail business, may also be interested in J Brand.

A source said that in sales, the valuation of J Brand tax depreciation and amortization profit (EBITDA) may be 10 to 11 times, and the company's current EBITDA is below 100 million dollars, because the brand is considered to be a fast growing lifestyle brand.

It will mark the latest garment manufacturers to take advantage of a mature retail enterprise M & a market. Many brands in this market have successfully found buyers, most of which are private equity enterprises.
