Reporters learned from the Municipal Economic and Trade Commission that last year, the light industry in our city has maintained a sustained and rapid development in overcoming the adverse effects of RMB appreciation, export rebates and adjustment of processing trade policies and raw materials and energy prices, and the total sales revenue of Enterprises above Designated Size reached 189 billion 800 million yuan, an increase of 26% over the same period last year, accounting for 35% of the city's total volume, and realized a profit of 9 billion 700 million yuan, an increase of 36% over the same period last year, accounting for 47% of the total profits and taxes.

According to the development goal, the light industry industry plan has achieved sales revenue of 237 billion 200 million yuan this year, an increase of 25% over the same period last year.

According to the data provided by the Municipal Economic and Trade Commission, the number of Enterprises above Designated Size in light industry continued to increase last year, reaching 1690, an increase of 174 over the previous year.

The system of technological innovation has also been improved, reaching 3 state-level technology centers in young industries, accounting for 25% of the city's total, and 6 provincial-level technology centers, accounting for 17% of the city's total.

But at the same time, the light industry in our city showed uneven development last year, and some products continued to decline.

Of the 66 main products, 45 have maintained growth, of which electric fans, foam plastics, machine paper, wood-based panels and fur clothing have increased by more than 60%; 21 products have suffered negative growth, and 9 products have increased by more than 30%, including frozen drinks, confectionery, leather clothing and microwave ovens over 40%.

The person in charge of the industry and Trade Commission of the Municipal Economic and Trade Commission told reporters that the structural contradictions of the light industry in our city are still outstanding at present, mainly due to the large proportion of resource based processing and primary processing products, and the low proportion of deep-processing, high value-added products and high-tech products, which is greatly influenced by the adjustment of national policies.

Another prominent problem is that the industry scale and aggregation degree of light industry in our city is not high, and the comprehensive supporting capability is not strong. There is no industrial cluster that integrates raw materials, auxiliary materials, processing, production and sales.

In addition, most enterprises lack technological level and research and development capability, and the technological innovation system of enterprises is lagging behind, and there are too few products with independent intellectual property rights and patent technology.

This year, the light industry in our city will overcome the pressure of slowing growth in world economy and trade, increasing foreign anti-dumping cases, and rising labor costs, and strive to make structural adjustments and breakthroughs in independent innovation, and achieve new breakthroughs in energy conservation and emission reduction and circular economy development.

The light industry in our city will focus on structural adjustment in industries with great labor intensity, resources and energy consumption, further eliminate backward production capacity, production technology and equipment, continuously improve product quality and grade, gradually realize the pformation of growth mode, and take technological innovation as core driving power, and guide the industry to develop towards high-end, intensive and branding, accelerate the process of new industrialization, and make full use of high and new technology and advanced applicable technology to pform traditional light industries, especially those with high pollution and high energy consumption, and develop core technologies and key technologies with independent intellectual property rights.

Our city will also push light industry to vigorously implement energy conservation and emission reduction and accelerate the development of circular economy.

Pilot projects of circular economy will be carried out in key industries, industries and industrial parks, and enterprises should be encouraged to recycle production and promote circular combination of industries.

At the same time, focusing on energy saving, material saving and water saving, we should carry out resource conservation in depth, and lay stress on the implementation of energy consumption standards in key industries such as paper making, liquor making, beer, starch and daily use, and strive to meet the relevant standards in an all-round way. We should actively develop new technologies and new products for comprehensive utilization of resources, and vigorously develop new and renewable sources of energy.
