The Hebei Provincial Museum is the only provincial-level comprehensive museum in Hebei province. It is located on the north side of Zhongshan East Road in the central section of Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei province. The museum is a beautiful provincial capital cultural square, with green grass, fountain splashing and pigeons soaring.

The main building of the building is a portico style building which imitates the Great Hall of the people. It is solemn, simple and magnificent.

The building area is 20028 square meters, and there are nine exhibition halls on the first floor and the two floor. The exhibition area is 11216 square meters.

The house was published as a provincial cultural relic protection unit in 2001.

The Hebei Provincial Museum is the national patriotic education demonstration base and the provincial patriotic education base.

The Museum of Hebei has 150 thousand collections of cultural relics, including 360 cultural relics at the first level, including 6 national treasures.

Among the collections, the relics unearthed from Manchu mausoleum, Shanxi Hanzhoung Mountain King Liu Sheng and their wife Dou tomb are the most famous. Among them, two sets of gold thread jade clothing are the first and most complete Han Dynasty jade clothes discovered in the archaeological excavations in China.

Ceramic cultural relics are special collections of the Hebei Provincial Museum, especially the three famous kilns in Hebei, namely, Xing Yao, Ding Yao and Ci Zhou kiln. Each product has its own style and shows its own magic. In addition, a number of porcelain ware collected from Baoding in the Yuan Dynasty is also preserved in the Museum.

More than 1000 paintings and paintings from the Song Dynasty to the modern age are also the classic collections of the Hebei Provincial Museum.

In addition, there are more than 5 books in the library, many of which are books of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and one of the main collections of local chronicles in Hebei.

Hebei Museum has five basic exhibitions, forming a complete display system: "ancient Hebei" shows Hebei from the old stone age to the late Qing Dynasty.

In order to publicize the long history and splendid culture of the motherland and promote cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, the Hebei Provincial Museum has been doing a good job in the exhibition of cultural relics. Many exhibits have been exhibited abroad, and have been exhibited in nearly forty countries and regions in the world.

At the same time, it became a friendship hall with the German Museum of Rome Perry and the Tottori County Museum of Japan, and established a cooperative relationship between inter library communication and personnel training.

The outstanding achievements of the Provincial Museum in various works have been commended by the higher authorities for many times. In 1997, it was awarded the "advanced collective of the whole province's cultural relics" by the Provincial Personnel Office and the Provincial Bureau of cultural relics in 1997, and was awarded the "advanced collective of the national Museum of cultural relics" by the Ministry of personnel and the State Administration of cultural heritage in 1998.

In 2004, he was named the advanced collective of the whole province's cultural relics system.

At present, the Hebei Provincial Museum is making great efforts to beautify the environment of the library, elaborately enriching the basic display, constantly organizing temporary exhibitions, and striving to improve the service level, so as to better display the ancient and modern civilization of Yanzhao and the patriotic and national excellent traditional culture education for the masses.
