Us Bill Blass Brand Continues To Fire Designers
Following the cancellation of the 2013 spring and summer women's clothing conference scheduled for September 11th, the US brand Bill Blass fired members of the 9 design team including design director Jeffrey Monteiro last Thursday (August 2nd).
Since the retirement of Mr. Blass in 1999, the company has been in a difficult position. Although 5 different female designers have been tried, they still haven't won the high-end customers of women's clothing.

According to internal staff, Bill Blass has achieved good results this year, but cost control is always a worry.
Earlier this year, the company refused to develop capital injection to the fabric, requiring the design team to use the existing fabric to make 2013 spring summer series.
It is said that the new series has already completed 90% and has a value of $250 thousand in cloth inventory. Why it was totally overturned at this time point is puzzling.
Jeffrey Monteiro was hired as a symbol of brand revival in 2010, but he launched it.

Bill Blass has experienced major personnel changes since its founder died in 2002, including 4 Swedish designers, Lars Nilsson and Chinese American designer Peter Som.
When Perter Som left the company in 2008, it came to the conclusion that the brand had disbanded more than 60 employees without paying the related expenses. Finally, it bought the Peacock Holdings holding company that bought the Bill Blass brand in the same year. Because of the distrust of Bill Blass brand, some high-end retailers are reluctant to sell the brand product.
