It is located in the northeastern direction of the Laoshan mountains. It is located at the Jimo hot spring section of the eastern coastal road in Qingdao. The Qingdao International Expo Center is planned to be the four major functional areas of A, B, C and standard exhibition hall. It is the largest modern international expo center with third domestic exhibitions.

The project started construction in December 2009 and is scheduled to be delivered at the end of January 2011.

As the largest International Expo Center in the North China region, the exhibition hall itself is well designed with many comprehensive functions such as exhibitions, conferences, business, catering and so on. It can host professional exhibitions such as large-scale industrial machinery exhibition and equipment exhibition.
